Why do this website keep saying he is the #1 qb When he isn't.

Hopefully this ends the saga of Jared "committed-uncommitted-recommitted" Curtis. I am decommitting from getting over excited until he shows up in the Classic City…but go dawgs!

Good get. Will be interesting to watch how the UGA QB position plays out over the next 4 years. Similar in size (and game) to Dylan Raiola. If UGA got Raiola last year it probably doesn't get Curtis next year.

Two noteworthy differences between Raiola and Curtis. 1) Raiola played 7A ball in GA. Huge difference in competition level than private school ball in TN. 2) Raiola had NUMEROUS D1 teammates to lean on playing for the Buford football factory.

Raiola played well for NE as a freshman. Curtis not expected to play much as a freshman for UGA.

His 247 composite ranking, measured across the various services, has him as the #1 overall.

They use " a proprietary algorithm that compiles prospect "rankings" and "ratings" listed in the public domain by the major media recruiting services. It converts average industry ranks and ratings into a linear composite index capping at 1.0000, which indicates a consensus No. 1 prospect across all services."

There are several ranking services, all wanting to stand out so they can get everyone's subscription money to make predictions that don't always have great success. It's not always clear why one player is rated more highly than another so it's not uncommon to see two comparable players at the same position where one is rated higher than the other based on the recruiting service you look at.

In this case, Curtis' numerical rating is .9980 while Faizon Brandon, who some might argue is the #1, has a numerical rating of .9966. It's completely fair IMO for writers to refer to either of them as the #1, the difference is so minimal, does it really matter?

Cause...he just signed with UGA. Lol. If he wasn't #1...he is now. Besides, ESPN is also reporting him as the #1 QB, if I'm not mistaken.

IMO...Doesn't matter, what # he is...or how many "Stars" by his name...or, Paper Clippings, in his dossier. He still has to play to the UGA Standard....as with the guys doing it right now. That would be Stockton and possibly Puglisi.

Raiola couldn't do it....neither could Fields. However, I have faith, that this is the guy, many UGA Fans have been waiting for. His time will come.

I agree. Bobo and the Dawgs, would've won a couple of Championships, back in the day....if they had only had a defense. The offenses were good to great, IMO...but, were always on the ropes, because of a rubber-band defense, made of faulty rubber. Lol.

IMO...Bobo has everything he needs, to succeed, in the foreseeable future.

Go hunt'n Big Red. Time to rip the roof off!
