"Each year is a new story of its own. The previous year usually has little bearing on the new one. THESE Dawgs want to make their own mark. And I’m Believing they will make a Big one !! Go Dawgs !! _________Navydawg"

Abso…freakin'...lutely! Navy, that's 100% correct....imo. Though, many a stitch in time, was taken in the previous years...in support of the current year. As in....this year will be used as a launch pad for next year....And, so forth and so on.

Most successful Programs, operate that way. The ones that don't are flashes in the pan. Nothing more. Auburn is the king of those. Lol

That being said...last year's success or lack thereof...depending on your point of view.…has NO bearing on the current year. As you say...."it never has". "The Program"...is what matters. Not, "The Player".

    Exactly.

Lol...at this point in the process,...the Fans know more than 99% of the talking heads, anyway. Hell...if ya want to know sump'n...just ask us.

Afterall...social media is the new mainstream media. I've gotten more...and, better information on these commentary websites, than anywhere else. So, I rarely look anywhere else...anymore.

    Lolol...."Pollack says....blah, blah, blah".

What I want to know....is, what did DawgNation UGA Fans say?. If you have an antibullshit filter...you can pick up a lot. Lmao

The Georgia Standard....IS, The Georgia Standard. Nothing's changed.

IMO...You don't have to taste a USDA Prime Rib Roast...to KNOW.…you are getting a great piece of meat.

Same, same...with Football Coaches and their Standard. I KNOW...Kirby Smart, is gonna have a Football Team, capable of playing "Winning Football".....come September. It's not a guess.

Fortunately (?) the bar for making the playoffs is pretty low these days. No running the table required.

BigDawg61, you have sized up The Sage from Snellville precisely…..great college/NFL player, money motivated Dawg analyst…..he seems oblivious to The KS Standard…..I guess having been coached in The Richt Standard…..HUGH difference, but still, the only logical reason for his refusal to recognize/appreciate the current Dawg talent and standard they are being molded by can only be explained by money….."if it bleeds, it leads"….no worries, we all got to make a living….just can't wait for the "Mea Culpa" come January 19, 2026.

How is it that Clemson is a preseason Top 5 and Georgia isn't when Georgia has been a top 3 recruiter almost every year? The Evil Genius used to ask how all the 5-star recruits that went to UGA got trained up to 3-star level. Is it the culture? the coaches? I'm thilled for the success we have enjoyed with CKS but if we are honest we have been on a steady decline every single year since 2001. This year, I do not see an elite team, nor do I see many elite assistant coaches. The offensive coaching is the worst. We will not win another natty and maybe not another SEC ring until big changes are made in our offensive coaching staff. I agree with David Pollack.

    @E_Roc

Literally taken you are right. JUst have to lose no more than 2, get in the playoff and then run the table! :)

It's way too early to be talking about rankings. Pollack's comments are bait for all the Georgia haters. Labeling yourself as an underdog or inferior is a tactic as old as sport itself. CKS is a master coach and tactician. Have faith in his system and the G.

    Go Dawgs!

"guess having been coached in The Richt Standard…..HUGE"______ [Jimmy]...The Greek

I was gonna mention that. Decided to let it go. Imo.…the "standard" was a little out of wack, under Richt. Not all his fault, though. He was wearing two hats, more or less....HC & AD. After Dooley was forced out…things, really changed for a while, under new Athletic Dept. Management .

AD Damon & DC Martinez didn't help.…not to mention, Richt having to deal with his wife and family being rocked by cancer.

The Program, Kirby built initially, came from material put together by Richt. CMR was on the verge of a breakthru, imo.…with the hiring of Pruitt, as DC.

The interesting thing is....if UGA Football had had, this kind of financial and logistical support, back in 2010-2015.....Mark Richt would've been able to lure Kirby Smart to UGA as Defensive Coordinator.

And, Smart would've taken the reigns from Richt.....with possibly the same number of Natty's he had under Saban. 'Cause there's not a doubt in my mind....UGA would've won the 2012 National Championship [@ a minimum], with Smart and Richt on the UGA sideline vs Saban and Bama.

I'm just sayin'.. Lol....many a slip, twixt the cup and the lip. Go Dawgs.…try not to spill any "Dawg-Juice", on your way to the '25 Natty. Lol

Gunner had better stats in high school than Arch, and last year Gunner had better stats against better teams than Arch, I'm looking for Gunner to get better with playing time, Gunner looked good to me against those playoff teams, even though he hadn't played hardly any snaps, you can Question Gunner all you want, but until he gives me a reason to doubt, I'm all about Gunner.

Well at least he woke the good commenters up with some spirited opinions I enjoyed reading . End of the day he’s a DGD that needs our prayers as he goes through some difficult days .

David also said the Dawgs would lose about 30 in the portal this off-season.

Bottom line is that UGA has, just about, as much over all talent as any team in the top 5. The question will be how good is the QB?

  • if we can’t protect the QB it won’t matter what QB is back there
