Georgia went 11-3, losing three games in a season for the first time since 2018. Smart came under plenty of criticism, be it for retaining offensive coaches Mike Bobo and Stacy Searels or his program’s recent driving record.

Well deserved. I would like to know who the top 10 were.

I also believe that Conner meant that Smart has a record of 6-2 against the coaches who were second through tenth.

Whoever voted for Belichick needs a brain transplant. Let’s see…what has Wild Bill done at the college level…how many games has he won at the college level…etc.?

  • he’s still a great football coach. The game isn’t that different.

The Dawgs went 11-3 despite the following:

    • Carson Beck having a very uncharacteristic season throwing a record number of interceptions.
    • a record number of dropped passes which reportedly accounted for 665 yards of missed offensive production and the most by ANY team in college football since 2018.
    • more nagging week-after-week injuries of key players than normal which led to changing lineups on offense (and sometimes the defensive front 7) almost weekly.
    • MontanaDawg, allow me to add to your list……The Dawgs had defined no leader, no field general, no focus of inspiration , now we do in Gunner Stockton……..I'll go out on a limb and predict that Gunner will make the greatest advancement from #42 to top 10 by seasons end and Nico Imaleavin will make the greatest fall from #19 to below 30…..as for our ole buddy CB, he'll put up enough yards to go in the 3rd 0r 4th round but he'll still be pledged with INT's.

Why does Connor think anyone cares about ESPN's opinion?

Before Kirby is done at Georgia he will win 7-8 Natty's.

Hey Kasey - We’ll see. You could be right. But there are numerous examples of coaches who were very good at one level and not the next. For example, Spurrier and Saban were not good in the NFL. No way you vote Belichick as the best college coach before he has won one game at that level.

  • haha he wasn’t even listed in the top 10. Id probably take him over all the others in the “others receiving votes” category he was in. Six super bowls will do that. Do I think they will win it all? No. I’d take his ability to cultivate culture over a bunch of these other coaches. He’s probably going to stitch Dabo a clown suit when they go up against each other.

Kirby knows what needs to be done. The Dawgs will be back with a chip, mostly healed up, and new young players popping that will be household names by the time tejas comes to town.
