Kirby Smart named top college football coach in the country in newest ESPN rankings
Georgia went 11-3, losing three games in a season for the first time since 2018. Smart came under plenty of criticism, be it for retaining offensive coaches Mike Bobo and Stacy Searels or his programâs recent driving record.

Well deserved. I would like to know who the top 10 were.
I also believe that Conner meant that Smart has a record of 6-2 against the coaches who were second through tenth.
We are lucky to have Kirby. He is an excellent HC and elite. Who would possibly be ahead of him as a better active HC? No one. Assistant coaches come and go, but I do think both Searles and Bobo have to prove they can get over last season and do better. Searles has more to prove than Bobo, but both had to deal with nagging injuries and shuffled lineups. The off-field antics by multiple players is disheartening and something that definitely seems to occur to this team much more than others.

Call me crazy, but I'd say we did pretty well considering our multiple missed opportunities, injuries, and just poor execution. You can't blame Bobo or Searles for a lot of our problems last season.
Whoever voted for Belichick needs a brain transplant. Let’s see…what has Wild Bill done at the college level…how many games has he won at the college level…etc.?

Hey Kasey - We’ll see. You could be right. But there are numerous examples of coaches who were very good at one level and not the next. For example, Spurrier and Saban were not good in the NFL. No way you vote Belichick as the best college coach before he has won one game at that level.
haha he wasn’t even listed in the top 10. Id probably take him over all the others in the “others receiving votes” category he was in. Six super bowls will do that. Do I think they will win it all? No. I’d take his ability to cultivate culture over a bunch of these other coaches. He’s probably going to stitch Dabo a clown suit when they go up against each other.
Kirby knows what needs to be done. The Dawgs will be back with a chip, mostly healed up, and new young players popping that will be household names by the time tejas comes to town.
