Summary of Potential UGA Football Player Net Income Under New Revenue-Sharing and Concert Revenue Streams

    Concert Revenue

    • $100 per ticket
    • 90,000-seat stadium
    • 75% average occupancy
    • 50% net profit margin
    • Approximately $3.375 million in net proceeds per concert directed to the athletic fund
    • 5 concerts annually would generate about $16.875 million in total net cash to the athletic fund
    • Conservatively estimating ~$15 million of that allocated to the athletic fund for revenue-sharing

    Football Revenue Sharing

    • Under revenue-sharing guidelines, 75% of the athletic fund (including concert proceeds) goes to football

    Net Per Player Income Summary

    • With a 125-player roster:
      • About $90,000 per player annually from concert proceeds
      • About $108,000 per player annually from the new revenue-sharing funds

Total Net Income per UGA Football Player (excluding personal NIL deals): ~$198,000 per player per year

When this revenue-sharing model and concert strategy are fully implemented, playing for UGA will be exceptionally lucrative compared to other college programs. Nearly $200,000 per year — before any personal NIL deals — would make UGA one of the most financially attractive programs in college football, significantly boosting its recruiting appeal and reinforcing its status as a premier destination for top talent.

THey'll have to resod the field every time. Subtract that out of your profits, along with insurance policies, security, EMS/docors and such. Unless you're having some super group or groups you'll be doing good to get 20,000. And what part of the gate do the super groups/performers get?

bingo. There’s maybe ten current artists that could fill 90K people at the stadium. Throw in how Athens isn’t near any major hub airport or major interstate and it ups the degree of difficulty.

And like you mentioned…how much does the artist get? Doubt any who could fill the place would do it out of the goodness of their heart.

I figured we'd hear from the "you kids get off my turf!" faction. 😉

I remember the "good old days" when the NFL season started and it overlapped baseball and baseball games were played with the remnants of white lines showing through and football was played with 1/3 of the field being a baseball dirt infield. Yugly!
