    Agree. Lol....Teams & Coaches had to actually, gameplan for Bowers.

    But...of course, they had to do the same thing for Carter and Davis.

    UGA has truly been blessed, as far as i'm concerned. Great talent and coaching over the last century-plus...bred one of the best CFB Programs the game has ever seen...imo.

    And then....NIL and CFB chaos, set about trying to destroy it. Lol. I don't know if Kirby saw all this coming, when he built The Program....but, it appears he had a crystal ball, when he took the UGA job. The Dawgs are still barkin'.. LOL

    Lol.…I have to add Marcus Stroud. Not, "simply because he was a #1 pick for Jax"...but, for the simple reason, he puckered some Florida Gaytor Fans' bung holes, a time or three.

    Jim Donnan flipped him from Florida in '96 or '97, I think it was. Then, he helped UGA beat hell out of Florida the next year.

    Fyi....discussing all of this, induced me to look back at the '97-'00 Bulldog Era.

    I didn't realize, just how good that defensive line was, under Donnan. Below is an excerpt of one of my sources. And, it was an eye-op'ner.

    <excerpt from Richard Seymour's Page>

    He [Seymour] was part of a defensive line that consisted of four future first-round draft picks: Seymour [drafted 1st Rd, #6 OA by NE], former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Marcus StroudNew Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant, and former Patriots teammate Johnathan Sullivan.

    Looks a lot like the 2022 1st round draft...imo. I was deployed in the military at the time, so I missed most of those games. But, I remember every single one of those players. Loved to watch em work....when I had the opportunity. Especially Stroud and Seymour.

    Kasey—I totally agree—Bowers and Jalen Carter were the cream of the crop. Wow I miss watching them in Athens, but do enjoy watching on Sunday!

    GOt him mixed up with Ladd who recently tied the knott. BUt he still needs to keep his head on straight. I think he will, just the old parent in me coming out.
