4 or 5 years recruiting the likes of this guy and the DF lineman last year that last minute did a 180 and went to TX for the green backs is just sickening… How Kirby, Schumann and the staff can put on a face that says "we wish him the best" is utterly amazing but how they do it… I could never trust any of these top recruits every even when they are signed and starting in the biggest game of the year…

Go Dawgs… one joker guy from Grayson is not going to win you titles… The whole "TEAM" will bring Kirby and UGA more National & SEC titles.

What were you saying about TX?

Abrams is no Atkinson. Though I will say I doubt how much Atkinson develops. He seems more about the brand and the bag than doing what will be necessary to maximize his talents.

I see a trend here. Miami and TX identifying HS players who have UGA as leaders then going in and offering them 1.5 to 2 times the NIL.

Oh well. All of that time and effort put into recruiting the boy, all for nothing. Kirby will stay in touch with him.

As soon as I heard he was annoucing on Pat McAfee, I knew he was going to Texas. Too much going on with the young man to just be about football, he thinks Texas is a bigger brand and they are not.

I really have lost all interest in recruiting. This money thing has tampered the whole ordeal pertaining to "commitment"… im only committed to the most money" not money but the "most" money. He may turn out to be like Caleb Downs and be a shining star but hey there's a chance he ends up like Bear Alexander too. Just let me know when the season starts. When I read that UGA had been pouring in resources towards this kid since 8th grade.... think about all that money for TX to come in at the last minute. Not once but TWICE now they have done this.... Yeah im salty not because he chose TX but because he wasted countless amount of resources. Hope all goes well with him and his family.

He ain't signed yet! Which means the bidding war ain't over, either.

congrats. You were bound to be right eventually. Texas has been losing a bunch of battles this cycle so they were bound to win one. They made him an offer he couldn’t refuse and in Kirby’s world of team building he was not going to give some unproven freshman (don’t care how talented he is) that kind of $ when he’s got proven guys in the building already.
