Bennett, in the third-year of his rookie four-year deal, has a golden opportunity to prove himself worthy of a back-up quarterback job in the NFL this fall camp with the Rams.

Let's do it Stet! It's time to stake your claim as Rams coached up QB in waiting that will be ready to go when Stafford retires…

Got to take the next step THIS YEAR!

Contrary to what some UGA fans want to hear, MG has always been pretty objective about SBIV.

Surprised you didn't fixate on "improve on his NFL preseason numbers of the past, which include three touchdowns with eight interceptions."

Matt LaFleur is Green Bay's HC. Ram's OC is MARK LaFeur.

Other headlines out there say he's not expected to make the roster, but they will hold him or for their back up camps. JUst in case.

Play this game like we all know you can, Stetson. Wish you the best in the season to come.

Lol...if I'm not mistaken...Griffith's picture appears on the same collage of "Flapping Gums"....that declared, "by god!.…UGA can NOT win a Natty with Stetson behind center". Lol

Imo.…NOBODY gave that kid a Dawgs chance in Cat Hades, of doing what he did. But, there was one guy that could see what he was...and gave him the tough love and encouragement he needed, to improved every week.

Kirby was that guy!....and, he STILL hasn't won the COY. When is everybody gonna figure out, that Kirby Smart was Saban's secret weapon?.

Kirby, should share in Saban's glory and limelight rather than bathe in his shadow. Particularly...while forging his own vast Empire.…as if, anybody that touched Nick Saban could do it. Lol....actually, I think Saban gained more from working with Smart, than the other way around. But, I could be wrong. It's probably more like 50/50.

Go Dawgs! 4 more weeks!!!...I can hear yall howling to be turnt loose. Lol

@BigDawg61 You are mistaken, or you are trolling. I said I thought Georgia had a better chance at winning the national title with JT at quarterback after Alabama beat UGA 41-24 in the SEC Championship Game. Stetson struggled throwing the football, and I thought more offense was needed. As it turned out, it wasn't, the Georgia D came to play in the CFP title game, and Stetson got the offense into the end zone late in the third quarter after Jalen Carter blocked a Field Goal and momentum carried through the fourth quarter. Fast forward to 2022, Monken build an offense around Stetson's talents, Stetson fine-tuned, and a perfect season happened.

Some like to put words in my mouth — and that's part of doing a lot of interviews and sharing opinions.

I will say I'm surprised to see it on DawgNation pages where the vast majority of our readers are straight shooters and avoid the troll-type of behavior. I really like coming on here and reading comments and getting feedback!

    Rock on Big Dawg!

Bennett will play...and he will win with whatever they put around him. Cause, that's what Winners do. McVeigh knows this, as much as Kirby.

Cream always rises to the top....and, that boy's been whipped into a frothy cream by the Kirby Smart Nuclear Egg Beater, in Athens Ga.....and, now?!....It's his time.

From what i've been hearing....The Ram's HC & OC are dying to get Stetson on the field...cause they know what he can do, when he's comfortable, confident and doin' his thang.

According to what i've been hearing....This year, he's hitting that groove they've been looking for out of him. And, they're excited for the future with Bennet as QB. He may wind up taking over the offense later this season. But, he'll get lots of playing time, either way.

    Okay...fair enough. Now...why i said that....

No, Mike. I wasn't trolling...but, I was half poking fun. Cause, at the time, I equated someone saying, "JT not Bennett"....with someone saying, "Bennett can't do it".

Same thing, in my mind, cause I KNEW JT "couldn't do it". And, if you thought "JT, not Bennett"....then, in my mind you didn't think Bennett was very good. That's all I was saying, without trying to get, too literal. Lol.

Bama's Defense would've had little "JT Wings 'n Legs" for their postgame meal and picked their teeth with his ribs. Don't forget Saban had a helluva defense wirh a pressure crew that rivaled Kirby's that year.

Daniels couldn't have avoided em and would've had 3 or 4 turnovers.…minimum. Imho

    Imo....If Bennett didn't do it...it likely, wasn't gonna get done, in '21.

@BigDawg61 Opinions are great, but remember JT was the master of the pre-snap read and had a fast release — like Jake Fromm once said about mobility ,"I get out of trouble before I get in trouble" — JT was the passer, as Kirby noted, and Stetson provided great mobility … and in 2022, became the passer and runner. I'm not sure why you would say JT couldn't do it — he never lost a game as UGA's starter and his pass efficiency rating was the best in UGA history. We'll never know for sure…. but whoever was at QB had a historically dominant defense and world-beaters at WR, TE, RB and O-Line. The 2021-2022 Bulldogs were amazing no matter how you slice it!

"The 2021-2022 Bulldogs were amazing no matter how you slice it!"___MG

True That!!! And, 2025's Team has a REAL good chance of joining them. Lol.…or, better than average chance, anyway.

Lol.…I love it when coaches say, "He's the passer" or "He's a good passer"...when comparing QB's. What they really mean, is that both players can pass...but, only one is "mobile".

Cause, my friend...at that level, in the SEC, if you are a QB....you can pass. As both, Bennett & Daniels later proved through their respective careers.

I think Stockton has that same x-factor that Bennett had. Focus, relatability & connection….as well as pocket presence. He may even be a little smarter...as in JT Daniels smart. But, he's not as quick as Bennett. I love his release on the ball, though. Better than either Bennett or Daniels....imo.
