A reporter wished the Georgia offensive coordinator a merry Christmas, as that is likely the next time Bobo would have to speak to reporters and discuss the Georgia offense publicly.

I have this gut feeling that Gunner will be much more fun to watch than Beck. I love that “gunslinger” mentality like Stetson was known for. Go Dawgs and I can’t wait for the season to start.

I gave Bobo a mulligan last season due to all the injuries on the OL & RB, all Beck's interceptions, and so many dropped passes by the receivers.

Hopefully, that kind of topsy turvy offensive performance won't be repeated this season…in which case, I expect BIG things from Bobo and this offense despite a lot of new faces.

Bobo's 2023 offense was pretty good when Ladd and Brock were healthy. Not as good without them, but they managed. It seems that some playmakers have been added, Noah Thomas is said to be tearing it up. It's all going to be alright.

Well, I definitely feel like this is an absolute make or break year for Bobo. Of course he doesn't want to telegraph that. Surely his job security isn't so great that he can continue to screw up our opportunities. His 2023 and 2024 offenses. were lacking to say it nicely. Every year since his return can be graphed into a negatively sloped line. If he can't cut the mustard this year, the Bulldog Nation must insist that CKS fire Bobo and replace him with a proven winner.

We live in 3rd and 7 with this OC. Dawgs missing chance at unprecedented run with unimaginative and predictable offense. I will temper my enthusiasm as I am fairly certain what we will see this season. More of the same. At some point it’s time to quit blaming the players. Until we have an elite OC again get used to 11-3 and an early playoff exit. Wish I had more hope but we’ve seen this movie too many times to expect a different ending.

I think Gunner can affect the team in a way more positive way. People forget Beck threw 2 additional INT's in that Texas game that were called back because of penalties. Beck was hot and cold and kind of flaky. He cost UGA an SEC Championship the year before due to his poor play and fumble against Bama, not to mention a playoff berth. Gunner will be steady eddie and move the chains. I was never sold on Beck and I doubt he'll take Miami anyware near the CFP. Just my opinion.

Listen, you can blame the offensive line, you can blame anything, but the fact remains the plays Bobo calls are predictable and have no imagination. Sure, he thinks he's doing a great job. That is what He is as to his playing calling. Think of the endless lame sideline passes or run it up the middle on 3rd and eight. How many games last season did we not even see a long pass in the first half? You can't blame the calls on the players. Maybe they don't execute, but the play call itself is owned by Mike Bobo alone.

People still willing to die on the Bobo hill is just sad to see. You can tell they didn't have to watch these exact same offensive schemes and let downs for 10 years with Richt. I died on it in the 1st stint, never will again. Imo there will always be some type of problem with a Bobo led offense, always has. He isn't elite, like Monken. I just hope Kirby doesn't let his friendship get in the way of his job. That 40 ppg is such a cover up/ default statement. Tell me his ppg in the "big ones". Only significant win in his 20 years as an OC was last years SEC championship and it was won on the backs of the defense. People who don't know football won't have the ability to blame Beck this year, we'll see if they sing the same tune with Gunner. But here's to another year of hoping he can prove the doubters wrong, 15th times the charm. If not we can always go back to the old saying... "there's always next year!"

    GO DAWGS 🔴🐾⚫️

Your post is exactly right-on. I can't count the times I hollered in frustration when Georgia had the ball 3rd and long, and saw a run up the middle or lame side line pass. I can remember times when the game was on the line and Georgia held a slim lead, only to lose it because Bobo called conservative plays designed to "play it safe." Those "play-it-safe" plays resulted in the other team getting the ball back and winning the game.

I hate to be so harsh about him as an OC, but to say he has "nothing to prove" is just insane and not true. He has everything to prove in today's Georgia Standard. I truly hope he proves me wrong

Well love him or hate him Bobo is the OC. Extremely doubtful that KS would fire him before the season even starts. So a Dawgs fan has a choice of looking forward to the season with doom and dread. Or looking forward to the season with Excitement and Hope. I prefer the later. I don’t get watching something that punishes you.

Players can make an OC look better and the opposite. And I think the “ nothing to prove” comment was a disclaimer to both encourage our players and not feed the opposition. Should he have said “ Our Offense sux and I don’t have a clue about my job” ? Would that have been useful for the program ? Or a more Confident comment like the one he made ? And a question about Monken he said that “ he learned some good things from Bobo” so was Monken just lying ?

Look as a Dawgs fan for most all my life I’m Very familiar with Bobo’s short comings. I keenly remember all the up the middle runs on third and long or the slant passes. And they Very Much frustrated me as they did Yall. But No real man wants to leave a bad legacy, and I think Mike Bobo knows this IS his last show If he doesn’t produce. But I believe he Will pull out all stops to Win this year for the Team and himself. And I Believe Gunner has Huge potential to help make it happen.

I can’t guarantee Yall this year will be a success no more than Yall can guarantee me it’ll be a failure. I think one of the primary reasons we watch is for entertainment and happiness. An escape from the rigors of living in a many times tough and unforgiving world. Speaking only for Me, I’m sure not gonna enter the season of watching the sport ( Team) I Love with an attitude of Oh No We’re Doomed, No Way We Can Win. If that’s the case why even watch ?
So let’s say that Bobo Does stink it up. Whose to say that our Defense and Special Teams can’t get us the needed wins ? They have before. If the Defense holds the opposition to zero and we kick a FG we win right ? I know that’s an exaggeration but you see the point.

And who knows maybe an old Dawg ( Bobo) Can learn some new tricks !! Lastly and truthfully you know where the anger should really lie on this issue ? Kirby Smart, he’s the one that hired Bobo. Don’t be so quick to give up the ship. Let’s Wait and See what these Dawgs can do. NOT giving Bobo an out but there’s Allot of Youth on this team on Both sides of the ball. BUT I Believe that in spite of that youth these Dawgs can go a long, long way of success, how far I don’t know.

But they are talented and hungry, allot of potential maybe they can convert that to success on the field. We’ll see. Que the down votes Lol !! 🤣
