The 3 things that will determine his Georgia football season

ATHENS â Itâs officially âGame Weekâ for the Georgia Bulldogs with Kirby Smart on the brink of his 10th season leading the program.

No doubt about it. Coaching, QB, and strength in trenches are keys to winning in football. Of course, that’s true for every team in the country.
I'm hoping moving Earnest to right tackle will help the O- line. He is great player but I think he needs a little quicker feet for the left side.
It’s Still a Team game. I don’t care if you have the best QB to ever grace the field of football if his OLine can’t block for him and/or if his Receivers can’t catch the ball when it’s a reasonably catchable ball then that QB is not gonna be successful. And you can also add that you must have at a minimum a decent run game else you become one dimensional. All the pieces of the puzzle have to come together for the picture to be pretty.
Now from the articles I’ve been reading I Believe, I Hope we have All that. I’m not “worried” about any part of it, I am Concerned about the O Line the most. I want to see them play good football against a solid SEC defense before I make any pronouncement about them. I do think they have the Want To and that alone is worth allot. Go Dawgs !!
UGA had above average to great coaching, line play and QB play in 2023 and 2024. What held UGA back those years was skill position play. You aren't going to win a national title with Arian Smith, Dom Lovett, Dillon Bell and Lawson Luckie as your starting pass catchers combined with Trevor Etienne and Nate Frazier as your best tailbacks. Maybe Smith, Lovett, Bell and Luckie are good enough if you have Nick Chubb and Sony Michel at RB. Maybe Etienne and Frazier are good enough if you have Bowers, McConkey, Washington and Mitchell catching the ball. But realize this: the playoffs are against teams that have had time off to rest and gameplan and have future NFL players on defense, usually at every level. You aren't going to beat their 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks at DL, LB and DB with fourth round picks and undrafted free agents at WR, RB and TE.
UGA's 2nd most talented offensive team in the Kirby Smart era (the 2021 team was the most talented because it had the 2021 team plus James Cook, George Pickens and yes Jermaine Burton) needed Ryan Day to botch the playcalling on the last 4 plays of the game to just barely escape with a victory. Why people think that the decided backups from that team - plus other backups and role players added via the portal - were going to win it all escapes me.
you could fill a book with what you don’t know
I would go with these three:
Injuries, injuries to the team your playing that week, and QB play.
(1) Great defensive play (2) Stout running game. (3) Great special teams play—this will win you 97% of the games you play.
You are doing it again. Do we need a moderator for the moderator? If you disagree with someone tell them why they're wrong. And support it. If you can't then let it ride or thumb it down.
@mitch_earl What is your point? Still harping on UGA's failure to land 5* WR's every year? UGA didn't win a CFB championship for 40 years. UGA wins a couple and you expect them to win it all every year? The days of UGA collecting eight 5* players in one recruiting class ('18) are over.
If you haven't caught on, CFB has changed. Stockpiling talent like Alabama did under Saban is not gonna happen any more. Guy's need to play now to make their NIL while in school. There is more talent being developed at the HS level and now it is being spread around to more teams because of NIL. The days of the super team are over. Now there are 5 to 10 really good teams. Any of which can win this year.
The majority (entirety?) of the '25 team is new. 54% of the team are 1st or 2nd year players. Not back ups from the '21 team.
