Tennessee looks forward to Georgia after record-setting offensive outburst

ATHENS â Kirby Smart didnât waste any time looking ahead to Tennessee, putting his team and everyone else on notice that Georgiaâs next game poses a unique challenge.

all I can say is I’m not very confident in what’s gonna happen next week I mean Tennessee is a runaway train. That’s called 70 something point yesterday. We can barely score 28
no excuses
This next weekend will be a true test of what this team is made of. We had our struggles in these cupcake games before and won a natty. Now is the oline’s and Bobo’s chance to let the dawg out of the cage ( if indeed that’s what’s been happening with these lackluster performances).
I don’t feel this one will be a close one either way.
In 2023 Austin Peay beat East Tennessee State 63-3. The vols gave up 17 to the same team. I hope they are confident. The Dawgs D is a little different this year.
It will be Gunner Stockton’s fourth-career start at quarterback, but his first on the road…
Negative. Second. ND was first, he’s 0-1 on the road.
The prison road worker crew did not play the same team, lot of different players vs the 2023 team. I do agree we have a CFP level defense it appears, our offense on the other hand, very vanilla. Sure hope Bobo is able to expand the playbook and Gunner is elite enough to execute it. Otherwise could be a long afternoon….
Aguilar has looked a lot better than Nico ever did...might be the most talented new QB we will face until November.
Our defense will be tested, but they are the least of my worries. Georgia will go conservative on offense and try and grind out the clock, play keep away with Aguilar, and look like a team trying not to lose...instead of a team attacking, being aggressive, and proving they can win.
Gosh, I hope I'm wrong...
It would be interesting to know what QB we’ll face in November that’s talented?
It’s a real shame we’re one win away from equaling their best streak against us, but going up there with such a flawed offense. Our defense *should* keep it close, but our defense last year got boat-raced by Alabama to start that game and fell into a deep, deep hole early. Obviously can’t let that happen against this Tennessee team. If our offense isn’t able to throw deep at least a little and loosen up their defense, there’s a good chance more goal posts will be dumped in the Tennessee River next Saturday.
🤷♂️ don’t know what to expect. The defense may be the difference if we can get to the qb and shutdown the long ball
@Gramster Notre Dame was considered a neutral-site star for Gunner Stockton, as it was played in New Orleans at the Sugar Bowl.
I here you, but last I checked New Orleans is a farpiece down the road from Athens…
Lagway….sorta new as he was knocked out of our game last year, Manning….sorta new with much tempered hype and nightmares of being chased by rabid DAWGS, and of course Haynes King….not new but I can assure all with a RENEWED VINDICTIVE HATRED for all things Red & Black that go wolf wolf wolf, sicem in the late afternoon…..Blake Shapen, MS St, mediocre, new to The Dawgs and a Brock Vandagriff wanda be, and Conner Harrell, Charlotte, a bit less than mediocre….Joey Aguilar….NOT THE BEST WE WILL FACE…..average CR of 62% over 3 year and has never face a SEC defense much less a DAWG pursuing eat your azz up Defense.
Tennessee will be without both their starting cornerbacks..absolutely no reason why Gunnar shouldn’t be taking shots and testing them all throughout the game
Gunner too!
