Napier at FU is one of the best things that ever happened to UGA. Hopefully he can pull out an upset of 2 before the UGA game and get a few more years as HC of FU. FU is a sleeping giant in CFB with the right HC.

I’m starting to believe their admin is fine being mediocre at football.

Too much money available to be had to be fine with being mediocre. FU likes thinking of itself as a flagship SEC program. FU just won the national championship in basketball. I believe FU feels entitled to that level of success in all sports. As for Napier, article on Saturday Down South yesterday calling him Dead Man Walking. Gotta believe he is hanging by a thread at this point. You would have to believe that, should the FU job become open, there would be a very long line of coaches interested in taking the job. Every hot young coach, Urban Meyer, Deion, maybe even Lanning wanting to get closer to home and in the SEC. Put a big time/big name coach in that job, with all the talent in FL, and FU is no longer an also ran recruiting destination.

the issue will be the uncertainty at university president. Gonna be hard to sign off on doling out that kind of cash needed to buy out Billy and staff, hire a new coach and staff as well as replenish there roster through the portal.

I think if he goes 5-7 or 6-6 the admin might be fine giving him another year. It’ll take a 3-9 type of debacle to get him fired. I could be wrong though.
