Silverfield may think those things, and even say those things "privately" in the locker room…In fact, he coulda said what he did, just leave "Georgia" out of it. But saying that publicly shows bad judgment and a lack of class, which generally doesn't bode well for an HC (perhaps Spurrier as an exception). Hard to imagine Kirby blurting something thoughtless like that out there. Go Dawgs!
Who is this coach that utters our team name as though we needed his input?
Hopefully he regrets and learns from it, realizing that shoe could easily (and likely will) be on the other foot. In other words, Kirby has no doubt preached that same stuff a million times to our kids… but as many of us as teenagers and later as parents know, kids do **** things despite "good parenting". Go Dawgs!
He should concentrate on getting his team ready by being a man and quit taking cheap shots. I dont think we'll see liberty play UGA in my lifetime, the regular season or the playoffs. He should worry about what happens with his players, Kirby has won 2 National Titles..this CLOWN will be lucky to be at Liberty after 2-3 more years and 15 more wins..

I think Kirby should invite him to a practice. Let him see up close and personal what "the standard at Georgia" really looks like, which doesn't include cherry-picking exceptions to the rule.
Why this coach would want to make this comment about a program, a 2-time championship coach and his staff, and dozens of players he doesn't know, is beyond me. But I was told once to be careful because the further you climb that pedestal, the more they can see up your skirt.
There’s probably more than one reason he’s coaching Memphis. Math ain’t one of those reasons. “900 mph” over the speed limit. Come to think of it, maybe math is one of the reasons he’s coaching the Tigers.
Not sure what prompted this guy to take a shot at Georgia. He's rumored to be in contention for a couple of current openings — or maybe some future ones. Kirby won't respond to this — IN PUBLIC — but things like this have a way of catching up with you and Kirby has a lot of friends in the profession. It's why most coaches (Kiffin and Spurrier are notable exceptions) don't say inflammatory things about opposing coaches or teams or individual players.
