I wish our Dawgs would play the mud lizards in Sanford stadium then the swamp or vice versa. True home games. I don’t think it’s fair that Athens as well as the state of Ga. has missed all these $ millions all these years. But it is what it is. Be nice to hear Gators got Tromped in the Swamp !! Go Dawgs !!

    Auburn - ✓

    Florida - ✓

    USC - 🤯

I truly thought UT would be the third regular fixture. Go figure... 🤔😳

If you have easy matchups for the three permanent opponents, then the other six that rotate are going to be challenging. I don't think any SEC schedule is going to be easy going forward, except in the case of some occasional random luck.

would never be the Vols in a real world rival scenario. TENN has a minimum of 4 rivals and UGA would fall behind Bama, Vandy, and the Gators. Not sure why the SEC. Gave Tenn UK other than THE WILDCATS. Really didn’t have 3 traditional rivals.

the UGA fan base has little to complain about. However it’s noticeable that the SEC considered TV ratings and CFP potential which leads back to the old saying “ follow the money”

Love it! Coots, katz and lizards each year! Hate that we couldn’t keep the Vols as the 3rd but being a dawg fan living near cootville USCeast is cool!

i think because Kentucky considered them their number one rival which is why we also got Carolina.

    I thought the same thing.

Then...after giving it a little more thought...I realized that, that would be an extremely deadly schedule for UGA. Especially with a 9-game SEC schedule.

South Carolina is on a lower tier than Tennessee. Auburn and Florida WILL get better. Their fanbases won't tolerate mediocrity, long. South Carolina Fans, I hate to say...are kind of used to it. Lol

It looks like to me they broke it down into tiers based on a 20 yr success rate. Or, something like that.

Kentucky an South Carolina typically dwell in the 2nd tier....while Auburn & Florida have both been Champions and dwell in the upper tier group.

That seems fair....if they doit woth everybody.

For instance....it wouldn't be fair to give one team...Vandy, Miss St and Arkansas..hwhile giving another team Alabama, Georgia and LSU.

So, they tried to spread the percentages to make it as fair as possible while making most fanbases happy. There's no way to please everybody. Lol

UGAs location provides for no less than 6 natural rivals. TENN, AU, SC, FL— then Tech and Clemson. That would be one heck of a season every year. Wait. Kinda like the SEC East ✔️✔️. But throw in Bama, TX, LSU, Ole Miss, and Ok every other year.

Seems fair to me. I always thought that Florida and Auburn would be the two locks, and it would come down to South Carolina and Tennessee for that third spot. Either one would have made sense. What didn't make sense was Kentucky, which a DawgNation story last week had suggested would be the third team. I saw absolutely NO REASON why Kentucky would be a natural third team for Georgia, so I'm glad the SEC didn't go that far. But I'm actually more interested in the remaining SEC opponents. Hoping we get Texas and Oklahoma on the schedule.

The Auburn powers that be REALLY did not want our Dawgs every year. They are hating life right now! When we beat them in likely a close one in a few weeks, we will own them over the next 4 years IMO. If their OL does not play better, it may not be that close, even in their house. But they usually find a way to keep it close against us at home no matter what.

If I remember correctly Tenn, really didn't want UGA every year either when all of this started a year or 2 ago. I believe they said they preferred other teams.

Personally I do not blame them but when it comes to Auburn, they have constantly lobbied to get everything to do with their schedule changed so it will be easier for them. Not play UGA and Bama back to back anymore, get UGA 2 years in a row at home, get UGA off of their annual schedule. We will not even get into all of their cheating over the last 30 years. Any and everything they can do to to try and hang with the real big boys.

just was speaking with my neighbor whose kids and money went to SC. They don’t really see UGA as a rival and per his words” could care less about Kirby ****”. I’m looking forward to the next 4 years!! And my other neighbor played basketball for the Sooners. So our cul de sac will be fun.

Good to see SC back on the list. I live just outside of Augusta, and we haven't had a Border Bash event since '23.
