Georgia football injury report: Kirby Smart gives the latest on Chauncey Bowens, Juan Gaston

Smart indicated Chauncey Bowens was dealing with a calf injury. Bowens had been Georgiaâs leading rusher entering Saturdayâs game. He had only four carries on Saturday while playing 11 snaps.

By my count the Dawgs have 10 RB's….against Auburn we used Bowens, Jones, Frazier and McCray …..“We struggled to run the ball early."….for the whole game. My question is…where was Phillips, Bell, Hearst, Penn, Mathis and is Robinson still on the team??? I realize all did not make the travel squad, but surely a couple more did and weren't given an opportunity when the others weren't having a good day.
I don't undersatnd what's going on with Phillips. He's was the most explosive runner for the first three games and I haven't seen him in the past two. He has to be injured, but he doesn't appear on the injury reports.
And Bo Walker. I’d like to see more of him to. Definitely want to see Phillips back !! And like Yall said R. Robinson is a mystery.
The phrase use it or lose it comes to mind, in regard to the transfer portal.
As much as I like Gunner's ability to run, I'm not sure Puglisi is ready to take over.
Kirby must be rewarding Cash Jones' ability to block because I believe we have better backs now.
I'd be surprised if we see Greene back in the lineup this season.
It seems like Cash Jones is on the 3rd down package. Every 3rd down regardless of distance. I have to question the wisdom of him exclusively in that role considering the quality of the other RB's on the team.
That's exactly my question. I appreciate that he plays with a lot of heart, but I feel like he's taking reps from another back who needs them.
Additionally, what does that tell recruits?
If I remember right, Greene did not play well when he was injured last year.
UGA is riddled with injuries….again. Juan Gaston literally limped the entire Auburn game and on into the post game locker room. UGA will have to somehow step up their game to beat Ole Miss. Certainly must have a better start. I believe Kirby has real concerns as well. UGA has got to be able to run the ball to balance the attack. I truly hope this is not another classic Dawg slow go first half. Kirby has eluded to it publicly in his pressers. Maybe being t home will light a fire early?
We have a running back room that is full of 7s—-they can all pretty much have the same effect, but none are "championship" type runners. We need to sign the 10s —the Todd Gurley, Garrison Hearst difference makers.
we don’t pay for those guys and they’re securing the bag early
