Thank you Kirby for the acknowledgement, now let's see you fix it. It might be a good idea to get Boom on the phone!

Soft corner placement caused your problem, and it took three and a half qurters to figure it out. Something's wrong with your d corrdinator.

Maybe you should just take a ride to Athens and show the coaches how knowledgeable you are.

god **** breath of fresh air,” defensive tackle Jordan Hall said. Wow… really dude, lost a lot of respect right there. He seems to forget God gave him that talent to play a game

funny how fast this site censoring simple things we write but it’s ok for y’all to print that work. I’m offended by it as a Christian

can’t say much about ER’s second PI, as that’s the one, I think, TV didn’t replay. His first one though was frustrating. He had the guy blanketed, made a good play on the ball, but just grabbed him, unnecessarily before that. I think he’s improved greatly in his m to m coverage; just needs to trust himself to make the play.

CKS said in one of this weeks pressors that our DB's have to do a better job of getting our hands on the receivers. It seems to me that is all our DB's are focused on, how about just cover your man, anticipate a pass once in a while and break on the ball, maybe that's a thing of the past.

I have to agree on putting Hall's comment in the article.

Great victory. That said, the players deserve a better DC. Schumann does not seem to have the presence to be our DC. He has been propped up by others until this season and is now exposed. He is neither aggressive enough nor does he provide his players the energy to GATA. Cannot understand how we are paying this guy over $2M per year through 2028. At this point the school should buy him out and dock Smart’s salary for loss. Unlike our earlier assistants who were poached for other programs, the fact that nobody is interested in hiring Schumann away speaks volumes. The team deserves better than this.

The turning point was when the offense scored and all the offensive players ran over to the defense,” Smart said. “I thought they inspired the defense. Before we got the first stop, it was right after we scored, about seven of them ran over there, (Lawson) Luckie, Nate (Frazier), all the guys, Earnest (Greene). I think the defense felt the juice. They felt the juice, got a little cooler, got a little louder. We got some big stops there.”

This is a TEAM culture, folks! They believe in each other!

    Go Dawgs!

We appear to have a very soft defensive philosophy. However, as these games wear on, our defense seems somewhat immune to the fatigue factor with the other team definitely more slowed. It will not win the CFP but could get us into the playoff. For three quarters, this had to be the worst defensive performance of any Bulldog era.

So glad we won the game, and Kirby is an incredible coach. There is no way we could do better than him. But, I'm discouraged by how many times I hear him talk about how good the other team is as the reason for getting our tails beat. Our defense has to believe that we're good enough to shut down even the best offenses. Champions have an internal locus of control.

I described our defense on a YT channel as Mohamed Ali's "rope a dope". We just let you wail away at us and score at will until you can no longer hold your arms up any longer and then we go to town on you!
