Outstanding article. It consolidates all the "fast facts" I'm interested in....wrt the former Dawgs and their teams. I have a hard time keeping em straight. Though...I have started watching the NFL again, because of the Former DGD's. Lol
As for Stafford....Man!, did Bennett's arrival light a fire under Him!? This is the best version of Matt Stafford, I've ever seen. He's firing on all cylinders.
I hope Statson Bennett is watching. Or, maybe they're watching each other. Pushing each other higher. I'm torn...Lol. I love watching Stafford play this year...but, I'd also, like to see Bennett on the field.
May the best Ram-Dawg win. Lol...that don't sound right.

Stafford has all the physical gifts, but he lacks one aspect.
Okay, what is the one aspect he lacks?
I would take Stafford over almost any other NFL QB. His football savvy is unmatched, he's very accurate, his teammates play for him, and he's still got that cannon that he had when he arrived at UGA. Not greatest runner
Not the greatest runner in NFL history. I didn't post 5 times—-your board is screwed up.
He has to keep playing so his wife stays relevant.
Right now, Stafford is playing on a different plane. He's got the wisdom of 20+ yrs of football at the highest levels on his side....as well as....the savvy and talent to be put in the same category as some of the other greats. Johnny Unitas, Steve Young, Tom Brady and John Elway are just a few that come to mind.
Proud of him. He was on his way out, till Bennett's arrival quickened him...imo.

I'm not sure exactly what you meant, and even if Kelly Stafford has done/said some controversial things, but taken at face value and directed at someone battling cancer, I'd have to quote the late great philosopher Stevie Ray Vaughn and say, "That's a cold shot". Besides, I'm guessing Matthew still plays because he loves the game and remains darned good at it. Go Dawgs!
Hopefully both Staffords exercise their free speech, and stay relevant for a long time.
