Super happy with all the freshman. So many are getting quality snaps, and the number is increasing. Need to get that tight end Williams more experience. Such a tough place to play, so many assignments, including blocking that is pivotal to winning. Demello is playing at a higher level. He's going to be really good. Want to see a freshman Wide receiver step up. Linebackers need some coaching, as they are really struggling with TE and RB drags over the middle.

See The Film Guy on YouTube, our defense is so ill prepared and poorly coached. The luck will run out. The truth hurts!

NJ Dawg, they are young and make mistakes. But, they were better in the last couple games than at Alabama. The Film Guy really breaks it down. I was surprised that he didn't complain about the soft coverage zone that UGA ran. 10 plus yards off the ball. The coaches have a lot to do with that. From the player side, a lot is inexperience, but I see progress. They may not get there this year, but next year, watch out.

Not even remotely true. Are there things to tweak at times? Sure. Most has been mistakes at the wrong time leading to drives extending when they should have been off the field. Its a combination of a lot of things and the inexperience on the field. Not just of freshmen and sophomores but even of older players. It is not one thing or the other but a bunch but if they just finish a tackle, sack, or dont get dpi they get 3 stops in the first half that would notnhave been points. They did everything correct up getting the guy on the ground. The tape is full of them. The pass rush was even much better showing guys winning up front, but when they did the coverage allowed a throw in under 1 or under 2 seconds majority of the time. Occasionally just before 3. No defense is getting home in under 1 to seconds or really 3 every time. They just have to be more consistent and put it together all at the same time. When you have inexperience and guys give up a free 15 you have to.change strategy and it backfired at times just like press man did early but despite all thay if they make the play when should have we dont see up to 10 extra plays on 3 separate occasions and the game is completely different. You can not see everything if all you are watching is the game live and a few seconds of a play. This team and defense is close. They have proven if by late in games. Only thing they really do different is finish the last 5% of the play getting the guy on the ground etc. Up.the consistency even just a bit and the team and results look completely different. Whether they get there and do it more consistently will remain to be seen, but for all the inexperience that is being played all over and it goes with sophomore junior and even seniors that either played little or no meaningful snaps before this year except for about 4/5 guys. The outlook is extremely positive for the future and possibly even the back half of the season. Either way we have shown to be able to overcome it all, but just a tiny bit better equals amazing results. Exciting times.

After 7 games, the young and inexperienced excuse doesn’t fit. As pointed out in the article: “The saying goes that by this point in the season, you’re not really a freshman anymore.” So let’s quit using our youth and inexperience as an excuse as to why we are playing so poorly on D. As I commented on another article, by the 4th or 5th game, things slow down for a player. Reaction time is quicker, play recognition improves. It’s time for these 4 and 5 star recruits to start playing better. This is a reasonable expectation IF they’re being coached up. Based on the Ole Miss game, our D is worse now than it was at the beginning of the season. Very disappointing. Yep, we gotta get better, but saying that every other day ain’t going to make it happen.
