Ken Williamson was permanently suspended from officiating conference games, meaning he will not be allowed to officiate games within the SEC going forward. Sounds like Freeze & Co made a big stink about some calls.
Was it the goal line fumble? That was reviewed by the Sec headquarters in Birmingham and if it was such an obvious touchdown they could have reversed it. Or was it Kirby's hand signals, when running and trying to get the ref's attention, that someone is complaining about? If so then Auburn should have been penalized for 'clapping' and UGA should have been charged a time out. And it still would have made no difference in the game.
So sick of all the wimpy, winey, crying fits ... this, as in all scoring plays was reviewed by atleast 6 officials and millions of fans...the call was upheld as a fumble and the ball was awarded to the team that possessed the ball...a TD was NOT awarded, due to the "whistle being blown" calling the play dead. As for officiating, they go through a very long process, just to get to the college level … this action is a very slippery slope and can create some unintended consequences going forward...do better...get better...don't put your game play into the hands of someone else...
Exactly - my thoughts as well.
They were a B1G crew…suhprize, suhprize…
Roquan Smith was tackled in front of a ref on the play Tua turned the game around midway thru 3rd quarter.
I read that this ref had decided to retire after this season anyway.
Sounds like a tough decision for the folks in Birmingham…
who cares? It wasn't a fumble. But did the instant replay guys get suspended too? As far as Kirby clapping, I mean video showed the Auburn player clapping. Plus Georgia missed the field goal. So what are yall still crying about?
And to think I was hoping Auburn might turn it around with Freeze. Not!
Well I’ve never been censored but it happened last night . No bad words nothing to be censored for just exposed the culture. Sad AJC , just Sad.
looks like user error
So once again Auburn cries and whines; the SEC cowers to them.
Highly possible 😂
Time for the SEC to move to pro refs. Get rid of these insurance agents, lawyers and car dealers and hire professionals.
