    100%

I’m with you @Henddawg this is a good team that never quits and never gives up, but they are NOT a great team. They are a team I wouldn’t want to face in the CFPs (if we get that far) but they certainly won’t be a favorite to win it all. These kids are young and are in need of a lot more development, but wow do I love their resilience and keep chopping attitude. They are fun to watch this year! My recommendation to the perfectionists commenting on this site is to have a cold beer, lower your expectations and enjoy all these close exciting games that our pups somehow keep finding a way to win. It could be worse, we could be 5-3 at best with Beck at QB…go Dawgs and keep on chopping!

@BornADawg "Is it just me or do we need another secondary coach? Go Dawgs!"

Exactly. I don't understand how what was supposed to be a strength going into the season, turned into a liability. Georgia get's the best 4 and 5 stars and they seem lost. They don't cover they chase. Never in phase and no idea where the ball is. If I was to game plan against Georgia I'd throw every play. They can't cover, leave guys wide open and on the off chance they are close they get a PI. I'm surprised Kirby isn't blowing a gasket. And it's been like this all year. Yes a win is a win, but UGA recruits and signs the cream of the crop and I don't get why they look so lost. And yes, I'm well aware of the injuries.

Sage advice !! More please !! I understand fans get frustrated I do to at times. But we all need to go back in time and Remember our expectations in the preseason. We lost the primary game that most of us thought would be the main game we might lose. And to me that one was on Kirby as much as anyone else if not more so. I could care less In The End about the score and really How, Just Win !! And like you said and I fully agree ENJOY each Win !! P.S. Life is far too precious to sweat the little things anyway. Stop and smell the roses Or listen to Gator fans cry even better !! 🤣🤣

Agree. Coaching is Just As Much if not more suspect than the players are Especially after a Bye week when “problems” are supposed to be fixed. But it is what it is I suppose so just Enjoy the W’s !! Go Dawgs !!

I’m not convinced the secondary is bad, particularly not as bad as it seems. If you go back and watch these games, opposing QBs are standing back there with no pressure and have the time to go through multiple reads before throwing. I don’t care how good the DB may be in coverage, you can’t stay with a good receiver for 4-5 seconds. Not excusing the passes given up but it is equally due to the inability to pressure the QB.

I'll keep taking the WIN, but this mode of operation isn't going to work against the best teams. No way.

I believe @navydawg has touched on this but ….

This style of play DID work against both UTjr and Ole Miss (arguably our most complete wins of the year), both highly ranked teams that have continued to win for the most part after we played them (Tennerssee did trip up against Bama) and even higher ranked WHEN we played them. And we held Bama to zero points in the second half and, frankly, should have beaten them as well.

We beat Kentucky handily and held Aubarn, at fired up Jordan-Hare, to 10 points in the first half, zero points in the second.

Vandy (which could beat UTJr) and Miami (beaten by Louisville) both lost today and now have two losses. Oregon ( only 1 loss to Indiana) , Penn State (who has imploded) , and ND have all lost. Ole Miss is barely hanging on against USCe. Bama has one loss , barely beat Miss State, and still has to play LSU, Oklahoma and Aubarn (but should play Texas AM in the SECCG if they win out)…… Vandy, Miami, Oregon, Ole Miss, and Bama were all in the top 10 this morning, but two of them won’t be.

There are only five undefeated teams in the top 10 as of now….tOSU, Indiana, GT, BYU and Texas AM…Which of these teams are “better”?

Tech is in the ACC (and currently getting smoked by NC State), BYU plays Texas Tech (who has one loss) next week and will probably lose, Texas AM plays Mizzou, USCe and Texas so they could lose one of those and/or they could lose in the SECCG against Bama.

Is Georgia Tech better than UGA (the last regular season game will decide that)? Is BYU (doubtful) ? Is Texas Tech (is any team in the Big 12 better than us?) All of these teams should be ranked behind us this week. If we were able to play Bama again, could they beat us a second time?

So, the only three teams that are undefeated now that could probably run the table (and might be considered “better”) are tOSU and Indiana (who should meet in the Big 10 championship) and Texas AM (if they get by Bama and otherwise win out).

Therefore, IMO the only “better” teams that we could play in the playoffs are Texas AM, Indiana, tOSU and, possibly, Oregon.

Out of those four, I would say that only tOSU is “better” than us as it stands now. And they have NEVER beaten us!

I kind of like our chances as we should improve through this season.
If we win out as I expect we will, the “better” teams will probably be worrying about playing us and our “hard to kill” gamesmanship!!

    Just my two cents……maybe four!

    Selah !

@Bdw3184 and @navydawg...I stand by what I said, and apparently a lot of fans agree with what I said.

Florida was a team playing with an interim coach who had never been in a head coaching position before. The players were inspired, and this 3-5 Florida team played a great game with better coaching and play calling than our side did.

As a few have said, the Dawgs are a good team but not a great team. I agree. Our resiliency will probably take us to the playoffs but we don't have the team that will win a National Championship. We just don't. I've come to accept this team for who they are, but it doesn't mean I really like it. I predict these Dawgs will lose one more game in November, and that game may be against Texas, who is finally starting to come together and play better. But, none of the final (3) Power 4 opponents are going to be an easy win.

I think it stings the gator fans even more since it was the once Florida commit Bowens who scored the winning TD for UGA. Couldn't of happened to a more deserving team, or fan base..I LOVE IT!
