Yeah, not a catch. And that comparison post? There was no comparison…

"The loss of Bolden was nearly costly, as Florida receiver J. Michael Sturdivant got behind the Georgia defense in the fourth quarter."

You mean the guy that got beat on FL first TD?

love how they say the game was lost on that one play. On the targeting call the receiver lowered his head and Bolden went lower so what gives on that one

It makes no sense that targeting is only a defensive penalty. They claim it is to protect the player but are they saying health only matters some of the time?

But it is even more nonsensical that a player is disqualified for a full half on a penalty. Sure, give him 15 yards but it wasn't intentional and is almost always bang-bang. I would say a chop block can be just as career ending and that kung-fu kick from hurdling, while it may look cool, is incredibly dangerous yet it gets no penalty at all.

I was at the game and to me live, it didn't look like a catch. Official beside the play "immediately" called incomplete. The official had a good angle to see the ball hit the ground. When they played several of the replays on the giant screen at the game, there were some angles that made it look like a catch and the UF fans cheered, then they showed a better angle that clearly showed that the ball bounced and the UGA fans erupted and the UF fans go quiet. The original call and the correct replay angle should remove all doubt. NO CATCH.

I don’t think anyone should bash the officials for the call on the reception or trapped ball. I’ve watched it over and over and like the broadcasters I don’t have a clue as to whether it was a catch or not. In fact, unless a new video from another angle appears we may never know what really happened so I don’t think we should judge the officiating on that play. Go Dawgs and I’m thankful the ball hit the ground 😉

GS call bad. KJ call good. Sturdivant call not enough to overturn the call on the field.

Yeah, it's kind of irritating that no one mentions the completely out in the open hold that Florida's OL got away with right before the catch-no-catch ball was thrown.

Well, while the officiating was typically bad, they at least got the incomplete pass call right. Clearly bounced. Instead of complaining about that call, Gator fans should complain about their QB failing to hit a receiver 15 yards behind the safety. Heck, I could have completed that pass without the necessity of a review.

On the major metrics— first downs, yardage, and time of possession— Georgia's numbers were significantly superior. And for all intents and purposes, Georgia won by 11 points. It ended as it should have, with Georgia continuing to own the Gators. Go Dawgs!
