Oscar Delp had an exceptional day. His blocking was the best I've seen it this year and he had big time receptions as opposed to those games where he just kind of disappears. Nate Frazier did have a really good day on the ground—thanks in part to very good blocking by our steadily improving Offensive line.

    Monroe Freeling

graded out highest among the offensive linemen, per PFF, protecting Stockton’s blindside and helping to pave the way for more than 300 yards rushing.

    Earnest Greene lll

is making the most of his return from injury, anchoring the right tackle position with great success. Greene played 48 snaps at Mississippi State and had his highest-graded game of the season, per PFF.

This is SO important and can't be over-emphasized that it's happening at a really good time. If this unit stays healthy and continues to improve it could change everything that's being talked about concerning the playoffs. I'm ready to see the DL start to trend upwards in their grades as well.

    GO DAWGS!

Wilson had an outstanding day and it seems that part of the challenge with getting pressure is the ones that can bring it - Cole and Wilson - aren't free to rush the QB as much. With Cole injured, Wilson had the calls to rush the QB and we see what he can do when given that freedom. May need to put him at the OLB more than ILB and let him rush the passer. Play Justine Williams more at ILB and shift Wilson to the OLB to keep the pressure high. DAWGS will need to rattle Manning some and it looks like Wilson is an emerging rattler in chief. Go DAWGS!

I’m obviously not a coach and I understand wanting the clock to run and shorten the game once the outcome is basically determined but in the interest of player development ( and morale) but I wish that once we pull the starters and replace them with back-ups that the coaches would allow them to run all of the game day plays. We don’t necessarily need to throw the ball 8 times in a row but God forbid you are one play away from having to replace a player, most notably a QB. Would seem to be even more important this year as games where we are in complete control have been few.

Frazier's performance should shock no one. He is very talented. He is not a freshman anymore. The game is slowing down for him. He is reading his blocks and using his natural running ability and speed. What shocks me is that it took this long.

Now the question is do you keep Cash Jones, with his limitations, on the 3rd down package to keep a future NFL player on the bench on 3rd down? CKS's loyalty to the multi year walkon is laudable. But at what point does the benefit of a more talented, less play predictable, better blocking on 3rd down, potentially game breaking player outweigh the loyalty shown to a limited Cash Jones?

Yeah that long TD run by Frazier brought back memories of D'Andre Swift and classic OL domination that we had been so accustomed to seeing from RBU…the explosive run plays like that haven't been as plentiful in recent seasons, so this is another good sign. Go Dawgs!

Would have loved to see Puglisi have more chances to pass. Pretty poor on Bobo's part.

Imo.…that's what experience and confidence does for ya. That's why the Dawgs are just getting started.

Kirby said, some time ago....that it takes so-many quality reps, before a player is ready to play "Winning Football".

The confidence a player has gained in his ability and knowledge over time....is directly proportional to his reaction time and play-making ability. Less thinking....more playing. That's when the game is Fun....kinda like golf. Lol

Frazier is ready to take over....and Bowens is right behind him. I can't understand why they don't pitch to Phillips...or, at least get the ball to him in space. He's not a Frazier or Bowens type of back....but, they keep feeding him the ball "as if". He's more of a James Cook type...imo

    Go Dawgs....RBU....WRU....QBU….LBU.…What else? Lol

The thing about defending the opening drive is you're going to see some wrinkles you haven't prepped for. Every team adds a couple and when we play Texas Saturday you may see more than that with them having an extra week to prepare.

I agreed with every grade except for Puglisi. Just seemed like he was just mentioned as a "throw-in." In fact, I think the entire "Stock Even" section was like that. Sort of like the writer just had to throw somebody out there, so he went reaching. I mean if you really wanted to throw someone in that area (since they apparently no longer use the "Stock Down" designation), I would have gone with Daniel Harris. He got a chance to play more because of the Demello Jones injury, and once again, he got beat deep. That's how he lost his starting job in the first place, but it doesn't look like he's improved much. I'm thinking we'll see him in the portal when the season ends — if not before.

Good to see KJ Bolden have a good game, especially after how he did in the FL game. GO DAWGS!!
