Kirby Smart calls out players who transfer away from Georgiaâs physical mindset
Kirby Smart calls out players who transfer away from Georgiaâs physical mindset
"The ones that want to leave, we schedule them," Smart said on Monday. âWe try to get them on the schedule because, when they want to leave because theyâre not physical, it means theyâre probably going to a place thatâs not physical. We like those places. We like to play them.

I nominate this statement as DIG OF THE YEAR…what a perfect way to sum it up. Kudos Kirby.
“We try to get them on the schedule because, when they want to leave because they’re not physical, it means they’re probably going to a place that’s not physical. We like those places. We like to play them.
Kirby comments I'm most stoked about are those describing Gabe Harris… that's about as flattering as Kirby gets about a player, and we could sure use a beast on the Edge. Keep chopping, Gabe. Go Dawgs!
Got to LOVE Kirby!!! LOL Go Dawgs!!
Truly! A total mic drop statement! Coach has left the building!
Coach Kirby is the man!!!
Go Dawgs! Hate on E’rrbody!
Growth of DL pressure. "None. We've been consistent all year". CKS a little prickly concerning questions about the passrush. As CKS has grown in stature his patience and tolerence of the media has diminished.
it’s easier to do that when you win a lot.
Kirby is vindicated again. When Beck left, lots of folks said there was something wrong. Now, he has the best QB, automatic bid to playoff, and Miami has wilted.
I think you're both right, but that's a watch-out for Kirby, and hopefully an atypical moment. I like his usual "we've improved, but we gotta get better and we're gonna get better" mindset. Go Dawgs!
Good article with a lot of good information. I rode Monroe and Greene hard during the off season. I thought they were going to be mediocre linemen, but look at them now. they have both come so far and have become Dang good linemen. I'm proud that they have made me eat my words.
Unsurprisingly, the same was said of Saban. With success certainly comes a bit of the k m a attitude, gotta love it.
Kirby really pissed off the Texas podcasters and their guests. They took it as Texas players are overpaid softies. Probably so if you look at the results. Only their OK game was super competitive. Losing to The Ohio State when you are #1 is SOFT.
"You run from hard, you'll find more hard." So good. I hope he has someone copywriting all this stuff :-) I can't wait until the Kirby Smart leadership book is published. A best-seller hands down. (Belichick's book is good.)
