Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Gunner Stockton could be on track for Heisman Trophy finish in New York

ATHENS â The Heisman Trophy race isnât over for Gunner Stockton, even if the Georgia quarterback isnât going out of his way to make a run for it.

Thats IF the DAWGS actually play in the SECCG..
I’m not sure Stockton could do enough to force all those high-brow NorthEastern sports writers to give him a look when there’s a ND player or Ohio State player in the mix. He’s so impressive when you consider his maturity, selflessness, and genuine love for UGA football along with all that talent. I think I can speak for all my friends who frequently comment here that we wouldn’t trade him for anyone on that list!
Personally, I think Pavia is a bit of a conceited jacka$$ but in that same breath, he is easily the most deserving. Vanderbilt had been a cellar dweller until he came around and probably will be when he leaves. He is the hands down most valuable player in college football.
@87dawg I agree with you on Pavia and what he means to VU, and his MVP status. I would have to throw Haynes King in there as very close because Tech would **** even worse without him.
Gunner's got the look. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
That’s awesome!
"declining the opportunity to pad his resume with stats".…says it all. Kirby has never padded stats to position a player for Heisman consideration. The team effort is his priority. Playing everyone is important for the team's future. Gunner would be the 1st to agree...just watch, like #13, he may still get there.
Go Dawgs!!!
If Gunner finishes as strong as his most recent outings then he deserves an Invite in my opinion.
Tim Tebow said something interesting last week on sec nation about the heisman voting. While years ago, voters could snail mail their votes weeks ahead of the ceremony, now the heisman trust won’t even email out the ballots until after the games on championship Saturday. He begged the voters to watch all the games before voting. If we can make the game, gunner will have a chance to improve his chances.
DONE…..
Very cool comparison!
