I hate seeing things like this, but it's business as usual now. This needs to be fixed.

Big, fast DB with tremendous upside that wasn't realized at Georgia. Hope he finds that next gear elsewhere, but preferably not the SEC. Go Dawgs!

No surprise here. Won't be the last.

@khummel my guess is that Harris is a zone DB in a program that requires a lot of man-to-man. That is going to happen from time to time: UGA is going to sign highly recruited front 7 players that don't have 3-4 skills and highly recruited DBs that can't cover man-to-man. Some of those guys even find their way into the NFL for teams that run 4-3 up front or play a lot of zone. Like you said, I hope that happens with Harris but for a team that isn't on UGA's schedule next year.

@MACDAWG It isn't as big a deal as the fans make it out to be. The coaches and players already knew that he was on his way out. He was only going to play in the SECCG due to injuries. And the portal opens January 2 when the national title semifinals are a week later. Also, early signing day is December 3 and UGA would really rather use his scholarship on the guy that they intend to replace him. He also wants to put himself in a position where it is legal for other programs to contact and recruit him before early signing day. It is a bad look for the fans but mutually beneficial for the program and player. You "could" mitigate some of this by pushing early signing day back a week to after the conference title games, but that only benefits the 8 teams that are going to play in a major conference title game. Getting a shot at an SEC title and #2 seed - where you will likely play a mid major or an ACC team for your first game - is well worth this bad headline. I can bet that all of the teams who aren't in the conference title game would gladly trade their plight in return for the social media exit of a guy who wasn't going to play much anyway.

The player could not get the attention on the fields so the wants to create attention now. The same for Jared Curtis, if he decommits, in my opinion so what? We have a stacked quarterback room and Hopefully Ryan will be waiting for his turn. The media only wants to create negativity toward the program by their headlines.

Maybe, Jared should be asking which quarterback in the last ten years came out of Vanderbilt?

"He appeared in 20+ games (started 12) and will have 1 year of eligibility left"……So, Mr Harris, you're going to trade this in and roll the dice for the remote possibility to start 12 more games….to pull that off, you'll have to hook up with a team no where close to the calibre of Georgia all the while accentuating the apparent fact you're not a TEAM guy….I believe Forrest Gump summed it up on the school bus to Jenny, but hey, Forrest make it work…

Robinson overtook Harris as did Everette. Robinson has come on strong at CB. Harris needs to find new digs but not in the SEC! Not a team guy at all.

Freshman Robinson took over his position, and he saw the writing on the wall. Dude wants to play, not ride the bench. In his shoes, I'd transfer out, too. Being a backup as an upperclassman is admirable but doesn't get you on the field.

I understand the desire to play. I don’t understand quitting on your team, school, and teammates a week before the SEC Championship game. Keep competing and be ready to go if a teammate gets injured. The timing stinks. Quit defending this kind of selfishness.

Saw this coming from TEN miles away. Timing sucks, but not surprised at all.

No character, no sense of commitment. This crazy NIL world promotes such immature behavior. Can't wait a few weeks?

Idunno. I think maybe it’s better to know whose heart’s not going to be in it, you know? Let him sit.
