Alabama has owned Georgia since Kirby Smart took over, as the Crimson Tide are 7-1 against Smart. That includes a 24-21 win in Athens earlier this season.

Defense needs to do what they did to Haynes King. Offense needs to get the right blocks in. O line stay over your feet. Need some great passing concepts.

Both teams are better all around than the last time they met. In my view, when the Dawgs have the ball the LOS advantage goes to Bama if we don't have Bobo. Tolliver just doesn't have the skill set or experience at this point to come close to replacing him. I think both defensive lines are comparable. Red Zone defense we are essentially tied - Bama ranked #11 and Dawgs #12. Those rankings are the same for Total Defense. The Dawgs have the advantage on Rushing Defense at #6, whereas Bama is ranked #36. We held them to 117 yards rushing in September while we ran for 228 yards. But we still lost.

The biggest glaring difference to me when looking at September's stats is that Bama's time of possession was over 10 minutes more than the Dawgs. Total yards for both teams within 40 yards of each other. So no huge disparity there. But Bama was better on 3rd downs (13/19) and had many more plays, and more yards per play.

I was wondering where the bulletin board material is myself. Keenan's comments arent jabs at UGA, all I see is confidence coming from a football player. I would expect that same kind of confidence to show from a DAWGS player, if they were asked about their next opponent..

"We going to go out there and make sure we do the same thing."____Mr Keenan

Thank you Lord!!! I grinned from ear-to-ear when I read that. Lol

Please...God, let them go out there and "do the same thing". I was hoping that would be the case. They've already lost this game....and, don't even know it.

Like i said, in earlier posts....UGA has improved greatly from September to Now. Bama hasn't.

They ARE the same team...that will give the same effort with the same weaknesses....UGA's not. Just sayin'..

    Dawgs....45. Bama....15 (and declining)

Maybe you guys are new to watching football? Good coaches and players know they should never use a line like this. They talk about how good the other team is, and how talented they are. We already beat this team and we are going to do it again is counting your chickens before they are hatched. They all probably say it privately, but none of them say it publicly because the immense disrespect he heaped on Georgia will motivate the Dawgs. He also said the trenches are a mismatch—IOW, Georgia sux on the O and D lines comparatively. He may be right. We will see Saturday.

“If that ends up being the differentiator….”

This HAS TO BE the first time a 6-syllable word has ever been used in an article about Alabama football! Fortunately it’s being read by UGA fans and not those from Tuscaloosa.

exactly. This is like when everyone “said” UGA would go 7-5 and the whole team fueled that to an undefeated national championship season. I’m sure the audio is already being played all over the building.

Fair assessment. In the end, this is just a dude who has some confidence in his program. There's no real S-talk or bragadoccio in this…

From the games I've watched, I do think our development has been more relevant. Still, and it's wild to think that one member of the O-line can have that much impact, I think that we take a significant step backward without Bobo. The kid is a HAWSS BOSS. Tolliver might be bigger, but Bobo just KNOWS more. I have confident that our coaches can scheme around this, but… it's not going to be easy. This is especially relevant, as the center is the direct line to the QB, and if Gunner starts with doubt, there's a lot to overcome. Line for line, I think we have developed a stronger team that the bummers have, but there's that whole thing about chains and weak links…

Yeah, the Center position is THE most important position on the o-line.…and, is accountable for presnap timing, scheme in some cases....and most importantly....ball security.

So, losing Bobo is a real downer. But, knowing the Kirby operates....that issue was mitigated a long time ago. Wirh more than one backup.

My question would be....can Bobo still be used as a backup Guard or Special Teams? Or, is he in street clothes, from now, on.

Georgia is much better than the first game- I don’t think Alabama is- we SHOULD win this by 7ish if we play like we can and not like we have against them - that’s the unfortunate part

    Go Dawgs

Now you're talkin'. Finally, a Dawg Fan that gets it. UGA is a year round football factory. They churn out NFL HOF-Grade talent...annually.

They do it by coaching up the 2 and 3 star players to be 5 Star Draft Picks....and by running the "team" like a military unit. Tight...and, mission oriented. Everybody understands their function...and, the function of everybody else.

That kind of operation takes time to setup and gel, before it becomes self-sustaining. As long as your quality control department doesn't let the standard slip....the only thing that could impact your team, is an act of God.

DeBoer aint there yet. His team is playing virtually the exact same football, they were playing in September....imo. Very little improvement in 2nd half execution....particularly in the 4th quarter.

I would submit.…that UGA is not the same team. They've shown growth, in every game…and, are peaking at the perfect time. December!.

The Dawg Defense, has figured out how to stop teams in the 1st half and on 1st & 2nd down...generating more 3rd and longs. While the offense gets more opportunities to attack the defensive front. You know...tenderize em a little bit for the 2nd half Dawg Bowl.

UGA will execute with fire and passion, this time around. There WILL be no escape from the arena by this water elephant or whatever the hell they are. Reminds me of an Aggie or Buckeye....or Nittany Lion, for God's sake. What's that, anyway.

    UGA....45. BAMA....14
