I mean I'm not mad at the kid. the second he steps on the campus he's their starter. We just watched this happen last year. remember. college football has changed. go dogs beat bama
All this does is help give Puglisi and Montgomery two very fine QB in their own right, more confidence. By the time the dust settles this year Gunner will also be a very, very good QB !! I’m fairly confident that All three will be Dawgs next year. So Dawgs will have very solid depth at a critical position !!

Jared Curtis seems to be trying to outKiffin Lane.
At this point, it wouldn't even surprise me if Curtis wound up in Baton Rouge….birds of a feather and all.
Wait until all of Vandy's upper classmen gradyate and Mr. Curtis is there with a bunch of under classmen.
UGA is over 50% under classmen this year, so just imagine this team next year!

The other big issue is the kids he worked to get to commit to UGA…didn't Curtis encourage a big OLman and RB?

Y’all can act like this doesn’t matter if you want but he’s head and shoulders above what we have on our roster talent wise this is a big blow hopefully the kid from IMG can reclassify to 2027 now that this dude doesn’t know how to have any kind of honor
I like the idea of using his money to bring in more help on both sides of the line.
The other thing is, he sees some things with the Georgia program as a prized recruit that we don't as fans. We have a QB that will return and had some Heisman hype already this season, followed by two solid/talented prospects that have been in the system for 2 years now learning it, and we just got a commitment from a better prospect that plans to reclass to 2027. He doesn't truly believe he can win the starting job with the talent we already have here, so he doesn't want to compete but rather have it handed to him and UGA won't give him that. As they say, he doesn't have that dog in him. He may have been kicked to the curb a bit by the coaching staff in the last month (not the media) due to his lack wanting to compete and just gifted/guaranteed playing time.
I now firmly believe Smart was taking a bit of a shot at Curtis with the "you can't run from hard in life" comments in his post-game news conference after the Texas game. When he said we try to schedule them, he was taking about Curtis and Vanderbilt, which is kind of funny in hindsight.
I thought he would flip…that is his home base. Momma keep a close eye on him….lolol. These are young kids…cannot trust them like we seem to do. Current Vandy QB begged him to come to Vandy. He caved…plus other incentives. Me? I want more good linemen…OL and DL! Plus CBs.
