It's all good. You know that by now. Kirby has got this. Todays college football reality. Poachers everywhere and well, in the end if they do not have a love for UGA then best to find out before they ever get on campus and waste everyone's time but also hurt the team chemistry and potential on and off of the field. Rare Breed only. They do not take the money and the easy road.

These big lineman kids see it is tough to be a DAWG and their game rotation program. Plus "Bloody Tuesday". You work and work hard to play as a DAWG. The SEC itself is for big boys…not necessarily boys who are just big. So, UGA is gonna lose some to the "flip."

    Tempe is where he belongs.

Our only loss this week could be Curtis because the other two were bottom feeders and we may have encouraged them to leave to open up scholarships for better players. Curtis is definitely a loss, but if he in fact flips to Vandy then I have huge concerns about his character. He dragged us through the mud for 2 years and then literally bailed so late we could no longer pursue another QB. It certainly says a lot about his character. Go Dawgs!!!

Except that they went 11-3 and made the playoff in 2024 and are 8-4 this year with 2 of the losses by 1 score and largely due to their starting QB having a season-ending injury. His biggest worry in Tempe won't be losing but rather a higher profile program hiring their head coach.

@UGA66 Please compare the depth charts at ASU to that at UGA. ASU's HC Kenny Dillingham appears to be using the "build through the portal" method as his entire starting OL is redshirt seniors. Behind them? A single redshirt junior - also portal - and 5 underclassmen, including 3 true or redshirt freshmen. This guy is guaranteed a starting job next year at ASU.

Meanwhile at UGA he, as a 3 star JUCO OT with only 2 years of availability, his future at UGA was going to be a rotation swing tackle - depth - in what won't be a pro-style offense so long as Gunner Stockton is the starting QB. Not the ideal situation for showing your wares to NFL scouts, or for developing the skills to stick on an NFL roster if you get onto one.

This guy would never start at UGA. Backup to relive starters. Kirby has to sign upper 4 starts on each side. Cutting spending with lineman is eventual suicide!

I don't see why Kirby would offer him a full ride at UGA anyway unless he thinks he is a Bullard, but probably not likely.

@railroadtrack1 Kirby would offer him a full ride at UGA because A. backup offensive tackles are VERY important and B. he only had 2 years of eligibility. He would have done for UGA what Amarius Sims did in the 2021-2022 seasons, except as a lesser talented but more polished and physically mature player capable of playing both OT positions as a primary backup and starting at either in case of injury. Consider this: had Smart brought in a guy like this for the 2024 recruiting class, Carson Beck doesn't get hurt on that ridiculous hail mary call in the SEC title game. Not so much because he would have been blocking on that play as because with better OT play, UGA isn't behind 6-3 and desperately wanting to complete a long pass to Arian Smith as a desperation move to try to get the offense going in the first place. And as having Beck would have allowed UGA to actually run a full playbook against Notre Dame …

@RedUga4Ever Oh you can sign plenty of 3 star linemen who will be willing to stick around and develop, but they are more likely to be in-state guys with relatives who played for or attended UGA. But UGA wanted this fellow to be their backup swing tackle right away. But there will be tons of guys in the transfer portal that Kirby can grab to play the same role. With 6 SEC schools - LSU, UF, Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Kentucky - changing head coaches this offseason, there will be plenty of guys for Kirby to make a play for. Bringing Sam Pittman back in some sort of "assistant head coach and co-offensive coordinator" role or doing the same with Mark Stoops from Kentucky would even put UGA in an ideal position to grab a few of them.

Georgia is not the NFL factory for offensive and defensive linemen because they are soft on the big guys. No, they work the shot out of them in not only developing them but preparing to be an instant contributor at the NFL level because they know how to work and they know how to practice. Average won’t cut it with Kirby.
