I had not heard that quote before... excellent and true!
Agent should be a politician, he'd be a **** good one lol straight face lies he told.
Glad for us. Too weak in character as evidence in his multiple flip flops. He was too scared to compete with our guys, and he's probably right.
Remember a few weeks ago the JS article about how great Curtis was and how baffling it was that UGA fans weren't excited enough about his commitment? Now you know why.
Before I say what I came to say, how is this "Justin Fields 2.0?" Fields committed to UGA and he enrolled and played at UGA. He later transferred — as many players routinely do now, both to and from UGA — and had a good career at Ohio State. But he did NOT bail — TWICE — on his original commitment to UGA as Curtis has just done.
Now, speaking of Curtis, for the love of all things Red and Black @JeffSentell, would you please quit being a Curtis apologist. It is NOT, repeat, NOT the media's fault this news broke when it did. The media was not obligated to wait until he had the chance to talk to his parents (God only knows why he hadn't already done that) and talk to the coaches, before reporting the news (accurately) that someone close to Curtis, obviously, gave them. Curtis himself could have alleviated all of this by either doubling down on his Georgia commitment OR decommitting two or three weeks ago when the rumors of his flip began to heat up. Clearly, he has been strongly considering flipping for several weeks now, so why not go ahead and decommit back then and just say what he said today in that woeful letter — that Vanderbilt's current success and the tug of being the "underdog," have made him reconsider his commitment. He STILL could have signed with Georgia if he was truly not sure, but at least he wouldn't just look like a clown for all the back-and-forth drama of today. But Jeff, please quit making it like the media did something wrong here and deprived this kid of the chance to do things his way. The world is not fair and Curtis' decision is living proof.
And my final thought: What's happened with this "teammate" of Curtis' who Vanderbilt desperately wanted and was supposed to be the only reason Curtis initially even paid attention to the Commodores. I've never even heard that kid's name or what position he plays.
Defense needs to make him pay for his decision in Athens next season.
both seemed to love the me first drama and spotlight.
Remember fields leaving the field after the South Carolina game?
A lot of the same behaviors manifesting in both.
that all being said, the kid looks like the real deal……. But so did arch in highschool 0-3 vs UGA
Just sayin
And the part that pi$$e$ me off the most is he is so upset about the news leak that he was flipping to Vandy. I guess he somehow thinks it would have been better to just spring it on us tomorrow morning at the signing ceremony. He was likely going to put on a UGA cap and then throw it across the room and put on a Vandy hat. All I’ve got to say is good luck dude and what goes around comes around. If you don’t understand just call “what’s his name” at Nebraska. Go Dawgs….beat Bama!!!
I can't help but wonder what bill of goods this kid was sold by Vandy. Pavia was a once in a lifetime player. Lightning in a bottle that won't be duplicated again. I'll miss watching him because he made football fun. This kid played in a pretty low high school classification and starting in the SEC is going to be no easy task. That's a BIG adjustment. If I'm this kid, I look to who will develop me best to make it to the NFL, but also who will prepare me for the riggors of the SEC. What better way to prepare than practicing against future pros every day at UGA? Instead, this kids going to face harsh reality getting his brains scrambled when he won't be prepared for what's sure to come. This is going to be another Arch Manning burger rolled into a Dylan Raiola sandwich. His advisors, agent, whoever are leading him down a dangerous path. Nothing surprises me in CFB anymore. I'm actually more surprised Kiffin didn't roll in at the last minute with some outlandish offer. That would be more believable than this.
This kid is Justin Fields redo 2025. Apparently he hates competition. He is way to sensitive and someone I would not want in the trenches saying "I got your back". He has no respect for UGA to tell UGA …commit/decommit/commit. Wait till he hits the real world…..He has no idea what loyalty, honor and commitment is. RESPECT IS EARNED…NOT A GIVEN simply because of your star rating. Get back to us in 2-3 years and tell me how many championships you led Vanderbilt to. ZERO!!!!!!!!!
I look forward to seeing him in Athens next year behind his offensive line and supporting cast.
I’m okay with this. Look at our stable of QBs we currently have. I’m not expert, but I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Stockton come back one more year like Bennett did. Then we have our highly recruited young pups in waiting. Might sting some now, but I don’t think it’s that big of a loss to Georgia. Only time will tell though.
What if Jeff is setting erbody up and Jared puts on a Dawg hat tommorrow?!!! Ha ha, Jared.
All that needs to be said is this: whether you come to Georgia or not we will play for the SEC title and a playoff spot next year. Vanderbilt will not sustain—they just don't have the NIL money or resources. So when the walls come tumbling down, and they will, don't even think of picking up the phone and begging a spot at UGA... You made a bad, big boy decision, so run that mother into the ground..
Personally, I’m glad he did now- the idea of waiting until the day before and not telling the Georgia staff really shows a lack of character that will manifest itself in other ways in his career. Maybe I’m wrong- we’ll see
As Kirby says, I’m concerned about the ones that want to here- f the rest
Go Dawgs!!!
