I hope coaches let them marinate in jail overnight so they could have plenty of time for introspection.
A blanket party? In the Army they would have received Article 15s or worse for that type of dishonest behavior. No need to make any excuses for this. They are ambassadors for the university and the football program. Lots of players eager to get a scholarship at UGA. Dismiss them both.
Should wait on judgement until all facts are provided. Those wanting to kick them off the team, is going overboard based on the is being said that may not be true. At the end of the day, most of these guys are still kids and seeing others who have things lead to pressure, it is called growing up. Again, everyone should reserve judgement until all facts are released.
I hope that it is a simple missed an item scanning at walmart. Not sure why both are involved and how both missed the item(s). But fingers crossed.
First point: we don’t actually know what happened. Second: these young men are being paid quite well and are on full scholarship. It is puzzling to think they would intentionally shop lift when they can certainly afford to pay for whatever wasn’t scanned.
Bottom line: more info is needed before people start acting like they are the judge in the case.
Just a thought (and a very poor one at that)…Could it be that chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) has now become an infectious disease?
They could wind up suing the crap out of the arrestors...before it's over. Wouldn't be the first time, either.

I've seen the same thing happen when it's NOT self-checkout. In fact it happened a lot...BEFORE self-checkout.
