Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Kirby Smart shares the plan for what Colbie Young, Ethan Barbour can do for Georgia
âColbieâs done a great job coming back,â Smart said. âHeâs a guy that when he first came out, I didnât think he was going to be back before the end of the season, regardless of how far the season went. Heâs sped that process up. He wants to play, itâs important to him. You know, heâs missed time and he wants to get back out there and go compete.
Comments
Colby Young: "…We’ll have to see how he looks game day and what he’s able to do and how we can work him in.”
Ethan Barbour: "…Hopefully he can help in some capacity.”
That's what Kirby shared. That's his plan - his announced plan, giving absolutely nothing away - which is certainly how it should be. It's not Kirby's job to make his opposition's job easier.
Does it justify an article which states what's quoted above? Maybe, but only if the article adds value to the conversation, which this article doesn't do. Surely there are other sources. Surely there are other voices. More to the story? Anything?
Go, Dawgs!

That's it?
Don't get me wrong. This is exactly what Kirby, keeping his cards close to the vest, is supposed to reveal. Is it all the journalist can come up with? If so, why bother?
Go, Dawgs!
Young, Barbour Available If Needed
Oh wait, Connor alert! Dramatic title for nondescript article required…my bad.
Inquiring Minds Want to KnowThe motto of the National Enquirer is "Inquiring Minds Want to Know."
Just a WAG - but if I were a betting man, thinks Kirby has been reading the comments here and has learned some things. Taken heed and implementing a few things for the betterment of the team.
My guess is, he & Bobo will move Colbie to H-Back…then maybe move him up to the LOS as a TE as the situation permits…Colbie’s natural position. It works in the pros and John Madden football - it will work for the Dawgs.
Easy transition, already in a pro offense - a tweak here and a tweak there, WHALA - it will work for the Dawgs.
Taking away from Thomas’s production now after he’s worked so hard would be criminal- a win-win for all concerned.
Just hope his LAIG has completely healed and it hasn’t slowed him even more. Can’t imagine how slow he possibly may be now.
Pretty sure he couldn’t break a 5.0 - 40 when he was healthy. “I wouldn’t be more surprised if I woke up tomorrow morning and my head was sewed to the carpet” if he could.
Kirby & Bobo are on this like **** on an ape…they listen & never rest.
😏
WAG or SWAG?
Go, Dawgs!
wild AZZ guess.
So, not a scientific wild àss guess?
Go, Dawgs!
Science escapes me, Uncle Joe ruined it 4 me.
With Gabe Harris out, anyone have intel on chances we see Isaiah Gibson in the rotation?
Aren't dramatic headlines to draw clicks SOP for every "news" source these days?
Here is my take on CYoung rushing back. Yes he wants to play in the playoffs. Yes he wants to help his team. But #1 he was suspended all of '24 and he was injured most of '25. He needs more film to help his draft prospects.
of course that has to play a part in it’s well since he runs out of eligibility this year but I bet the competitive side in him wants to earn a ring versus the one he was gifted for the SECCG…
