Click bait, but ok, I'll bite...

Dawgs have a pretty manageable regular season schedule next year. Luckily, we won't be facing Texas, LSU, or A&M. Our toughest contests will probably be at Ole Miss and Bama. But, Bama will probably be weaker, and both teams are still trying to figure out their starting QB situation. Only one BYE week next season, and we dispose of the cupcake games in the first 2 weeks. Honestly, depending on injuries, we might go undefeated if we execute, tackle, and avoid key injuries.

The unknown is how each team develops and gels during the season with new players and new coaches. There will probably be some surprises.

I’m optimistic about next season, but looking at the scholarship distribution, we really need another tackle or three.

The good news is the light schedule. The bad news - where do you start? Great teams have talent at the second level, which we don't, especially on the O line. Our QB really regressed, opting to pull it down and run after the first read. Christian Miller is gone, but we hope Griffith can jump in that gap. But once again, second level is questionable. Pass rush fell apart without one player - Gabe Harris. I feel like Ohio State just reloads in the portal, and we hope freshmen will step up. And the O line - they couldn't block Ole Miss.

We can have the best TEs in the world but if we don't throw to them very often it just is wasted talent.

By all means let’s pick up right where we left off last year, aTm incredibly overrated again. They won’t have the benefit of the weakest SAeC schedule again next season, At LSU, at Alabama, at Okie, home against Tennessee and Texas…Good luck with that, cupcake lovers. Bama at 17, gotta love it…

@MikeGriffith…agreed. "Click Bait" was probably the wrong term. I just kinda roll my eyes when I see these too early projection articles. You can certainly throw most of last year's early projections out the window. It's fun to debate and compare, but the transfer portal is still in the works for these final two teams, and with the portal comes even more uncertainty than it used to be about how all teams will perform next season.

I’m ALL in on our Dawgs as I am every year. There has been much dismay about Kirby and the Quality of his TP players. That is even extended to the HS recruits by some.
Perhaps that dismay is justified to some extent I’m not saying it doesn’t have merit. But then I prefer to place faith in Kirby.

I can’t help but think back to Ladd McConkey. A Three Star QB in HS. NO offers from D-1 schools until Kirby. Look how he turned out. Yes the Reverse is also true. There will be some busts Both from among the TP and HS players that are now Dawgs. But I Believe there will be some Very shiny stars as well. I’m talking real game changers !!

Speaking only for Me, though Yes I share the disappointment of not advancing deeper into the playoffs. A 12-2 season And the SEC Crown with a First year As true starter QB, was a Very Good year !! VERY Proud of the 2025/2026 Dawgs !!

Now shoot for even better and Get After It !! Never Underestimate Kirby Smart !! Go Dawgs !!

the projections have always been a crap shoot…nothing has really changed other than the NIL/portal.

the good news is, we have a good nucleus coming back w/ more experience than last year.,..can fill in where needed through the portal. the staff for the most part have kept them together.

time will tell - but pretty dang sure this is the most sustainable model vs turning your roster every year…and also pretty sure that kids still want to win, “build it and they will come”.

nothing wrong with reading a positive spin.

No harm, it's early talking season as the Ole Ball Coach would say, for us Talking Season is year round.

Too early for this. They should at least wait until the season is over, players have graduated/exhaust eligibility, transfers in, etc and gone thru Spring Camp to see more of a final roster for each team.

    I'm dubious. Alabama at 17?

I guess we should be thankful at 2. Does this mean we are getting a new OC?
