Was an interesting game. Quite frankly I didn’t really care who won because it’s not our Dawgs.

I leaned toward wanting IN to win it for in no particular order: I admire and respect Mendoza’s character and personality. He’s in the Gunner Stockton type person to me.

IN has Never won a Football Ntl. Title until tonight. So you know they will enjoy this for years and might add to it. And their Not Ohio St. so to me that’s pleasing.

For ole Lee Corso I didn’t see him anywhere during the game. Wonder if he was there ?

I did feel some sorrow for Beck. He and Miami came oh so close. They played very, very hard. Coach Richt said it best though IN won’t hurt themselves. And they pretty much didn’t.

NOW I Hope our Dawgs might pick up one or two or even more would be nice, players from these two teams via the TP.

Lastly our Dawgs are FAR from being out of the higher levels of conversation in CFB. And I mean in a positive way. I don’t know what they’ll do. Realistically no one but God can tell the future. But I’m Believing Kirby will push them and the players will push Themselves as hard as possible to Win as high as possible. Go Dawgs !!

Bain and Messidor might be the best two pass rushers I have seen on the same team in a while. Both can take over a game. Georgias team with all the number one picks played as a unit. These two guys absolutely can turn the game around quick. Truly remarkable they never got a holding call. Outstanding offensive line play to never hold either one of them at some point. No holding calls we’re gonna be called tonight.

Just like he under threw to Colbie Young two years ago at Bama to end the game.

To me yeah you gotta give Cignetti and his team tons of credit. They earned it. But NO Cignetti has Not passed Kirby Smart. I’m Sure the media will tout that he has. But All one need do is look at his and IN trophy case, compared to Kirby and his Dawgs trophy case. THAT would tell the whole story.

Who knows ? In time Cignetti might pass Kirby no one but God knows the future. But for Now Cignetti and IN had an incredible season that they can be super proud of but anyone talking Cignetti has Passed Kirby at This point in time are not founding their comments in reality.

As for Beck I’m sure he’s sick to his stomach. He wanted this very bad I’m sure. But now he’s gonna probably go way up high in the NFL draft and add to the $Millions he made in NIL from UGA and Miami. The $$ won’t take All the pain away but it’ll sure ease the sting. And he’s a very young man now he can seek glory in the NFL. He’ll be OK.

Beck does what he always does… a pick when the game is on the line. That's his MO. Same as the winnable Bama game a few years ago. He'll be drafted no doubt. But he's not a guy I'd build a team around. Even his own girl broke up with him and said he's the most full of himself person she's ever met. That is not paraphrasing either. My guess is he'll be a mid first rounder. So he reached his goal.

We got to get better on the offensive side, when was the last time we threw a long touchdown pass? we just watched Indiana go undefeated. is there roster better than ours? or are the coaches getting the best out of what they have

Awful first half by the Miami O and then the blocked punt TD in the second half had Miami chasing points all night. Third straight championship by three different Big 10 teams, not sure if that's ever happened, things have definitely changed in the world of college football, GO Dawgs!

“He had as specific type of player he was looking for, knowing he wasn’t going to get a boatload of the greatest players out of the portal,” Richt said.

According to the internet, the average age for those who make up the Indiana roster is 23. If that's true, maturity appears to be a part of that "specific type of player" that Cignetti has recruited. He certainly put together an impressive team that demonstrated discipline, and prioritized mistake-free football throughout the season and into the playoffs.

Absolutely Navy, It will be a while before reaches ole Cig reaches Kirby atmospheric heights ….But, as long as Cuban's money holes out and Cignetti keeps applying "The Secret Sauce"…….Like KPS knows, it's all about compiling a TEAM made up of players…..despite "HS Stars" or "Pundit pronounced potential"….that work at being developed, that place TEAM above self, that Believe they can, and will always put off quitting/entering the TP until tomorrow…..He may get there.

Congratulations Coach Cig, took a 3-9 program that was a laughing stock and in two years becomes the NC!. Is Gene Hackman still around? Who plays coach Cig? THat stare? Clint Eastwood back in the day, maybe. THey defeated all the Big Boys on the block!

I totally agree. At first I wished Beck good luck, but after a few months following his departure I had a change of heart. It’s interesting how his coaches and all the network reporters keep saying how he is so “misunderstood”. The old saying “where there’s smoke there is fire” really holds true for Beck. From his conspicuous consumption (2 Lamborghinis) to pouting ego to bailing on us for money, etc. I just about came out of my seat when I heard him say he went to Miami for a new start and to win a National Championship……what!?!? That’s ridiculous because we all know it was about $$$ and a girlfriend so just say it. I really don’t have a problem with making more money and being with the love of your life, but don’t lie about it and make UGA look like a program that is inferior to Miami. Also, I can’t believe I keep hearing the network talking heads talk about all the “hardships” he has overcome…..good grief!!! He’s definitely not the first athlete to have surgery (at UGA’s expense) and lose a girlfriend. Maybe they are referring to all of that taking place while he was dealing with the theft of his Lamborghinis. The final telling tale are the comments from teammates and his former girlfriend. Apparently he has a crazy huge ego and very conceited (not misunderstood as his coaches say) and I’ve heard from 2 friends that he treated waiters in Athens restaurants like dirt. One final note, have you noticed everyone stresses how much Gunner Stockton is loved by his coaches and teammates and is a great leader. I don’t remember those qualities being stressed when Beck played for us. I know some of you may violently disagree with me so I ask you to check all the headlines this morning from almost EVERY sports news outlet saying Beck was “classless” following the NC game. The guy is not misunderstood….he’s a spoiled brat and I’m thankful we have Gunner. Sorry guys, I just had to vent. GO Dawgs!!!

I though I was watching the UGA O w/all the dive plays and atrocious play calling.

Indiana had 1 illegal procedure in the 1st half and did not have another penalty until their were 2 mins left in the game. Significant because there was a lot of uncalled OL holding in the game. The ref's were questionable and let the DB's, on both teams, interfere repeatedly with the WR's throughout the game.

@HellHound "never got a holding call. Remarkable". I understand the ref's being told not to decide the game w/penalties but not 1 holding call on those 2 guys? Makes you wonder.

@dazzledawg Beck threw a back shoulder fade vs AL. CYoung watched the AL DB INT it. Same throw that Mendoza killed Mia with last night keeping two 4th Q clock killing drives alive. Only difference is that the IN WR (Becker) is a player and fought for the ball.

@Stiffneck Yup Beck underthrew it. It was a long throw. I question the call. Mia was moving the ball. No need to take an all or nothing shot there. Mia's OC called a Bobo game. Cost them. As for Beck, he led 3 Mia TD drives. Mendoza led 2 IN TD drives. IN got 13 pts off a blocked punt and 2 FG's.

Beck didn't get his punt blocked for a TD or give up two(!) 4th and 5 conversions on a late 4th Q TD drive.

@GoodOlDawg "average age of IN players is 23". BINGO!

Credit to Miami's OL keepng CB clean most of the night. I didn't expect that. I knew if Indiana could make CB 'uncomfortable" he would throw a couple of pics. He really looked too comfortable back there with Indiana only rushing 3 most of the time.

THe Toney kid was the best player on the field.

    the blocked punt…

What was the Miami player doing? Let the IND rusher run past him. Was there a prop bet I didn't know about?
