That chance came in the form of having enough NIL money to secure transfers like Dani Carnegie and Rylie Theuerkauf, while developing upcoming talent like sophomores Trinity Turner and Mia Woolfolk.

Great road win! Time to re-establish the UGA women’s basketball tradition from decades past.
A very nice win for the Lady hoop DAWGS! I cant remember if both UGA mens, and women's Basketball teams have ever been ranked in the top 25 at the same time, in the same season. Im guessing if they have, its been more than a few years. And thats if the mens team stays ranked after the loss to Texas on Saturday, and the women's team cracks the top 25 after their upset of Kentucky..GoDAWGS!
I wonder if she coaches men’s basketball…
Her team would probably beat Georgia’s men’s team.
Georgia was the first division one college to have both men’s and women’s basketball teams in the final four in the same season in 1983. I’m guessing both were ranked in the final polls.
Thanks for the info! 1983 wow..So it has been more than a few years lol The only Final 4 appearance in school history for the mens BB team also. And did it the year after Dominique Wilkins left.
I agree 100%
I was a student at UGA when Hall of Fame Coach Landers made his debut as the first full-time Woman's Basketball coach in 1979…..! And our team has made the NCAA tournament in all but six years since!
Those were some heady years with Teresa Edwards and company playing for the Dawgs!
This would definitely be a return to greatness if this winning continues!
Go Dawgs!
Two more names immediately came to my mind along with Teresa Edwards..Janet Harris, and Katrina McClain..2 more UGA womens BB greats from a very long list of great players over the years for the womens program..GoDAWGS!
SEC women's teams SC, TX, Vandy and LSU are all in the top 7. Will be tough for UGA women to break through that group.
