It's not just the OL holding pass pro for 3 seconds, it's Gunner seeing his open reads. It seems that too many times his second read has been only to run out of the pocket, and then the downfield aspect immediately goes away more often than not. It was infuriating to see the camera cut to Branch standing out there alone waving at Gunner. I know this is all about the rah, rah for Gunner next year, but the rah, rah ain't what is going to make the offense get where it needs to be.
Hopefully we’ll see an improvement in our OL with a new voice coaching them this season.
Railroadtrack1 - you bring up good points and they are very valid. Gunner hardly got to second reads before he bolted at the end of the year, and for good reason. Our O line must improve. They were able to run the ball at times, but pass pro was suspect, especially in that last game. It's been a problem for several years, but hopefully, the new guy can fix it. Hopefully, Gunner can return to 2 and 3 reads.
Watch It !! Your Trying to Hope. That’s unacceptable to a segment of fans on here that love to whine, moan, and bellyache about what They would do. And eagerly bashing a young man from behind the Safety of their keyboard.
And don’t you realize that going 12-2 and winning the SEC Crown with a First year starting QB is a complete and utter fail ? Dawgs are supposed to either Win the Ntl. Title Every year or at the very least be in the SemiFinals every year !! And you can Only love them when they Win. It’s unacceptable to Still love them when they lose !!
David1 you know of course I’m using dark sarcastic humor. I Always enjoy your comments. The Main thing I like about your comments is your upbeat positive outlook. You’re a mature person that realizes that in a GAME losing is a part just like winning. I could enjoy being around you. But there are some here that seem to just I don’t know. I’m just glad I didn’t have to serve with them.
Not only does the new O Line Coach have NFL experience. But he’s young and should be full of vitality and vigor. It’s already been stated the players like him.
Gunner DID improve whether the doomsday fans want to acknowledge that or not. And I believe he will improve even more. He Knows what he needs to work on and will bust his butt to get better. I believe the whole team will. Thx for your healthy optimism !! Go Dawgs !!
I deleted my earlier comment as on second thought it wouldn’t do any good. Some people want someone to blame. Someone to a fix their frustrations. Only acknowledging the bad while ignoring and/or discarding the good.
Your Not gonna hear them say Wow !! Did you see that play Gunner made on 4th down to pick up that Critical 1st down ??!!??
It’s just not in their personality to do that. Never mind that Gunner and this 2025 Dawgs team actually Exceeded even many in the media’s expectations. And the media isn’t known for being overly favorable to the Dawgs.
So I guess if they get their jollies beating up on a young man from behind their keyboards so be it.
Me I’m gonna Believe the Dawgs including Gunner will get better. But Even if they don’t as long as I see them trying their best I’m gonna cheer for them Win or Lose.
And it’s Really easy for Me to spot an open receiver from the Safety of my lift chair. I don’t have a huge DE or DT bearing down on Me looking to tear my head off !!
SO easy for Me to spot mistakes made by human beings in a game that on TV looks so slow but in Reality is moving very, very fast.
Yeah I want the Dawgs to go as high as they can go every year. But I know the Realities especially Now. And thus I know that the 2025 season was a Very good season and that Includes Gunner who DID in fact improve. I believe he and the Dawgs will improve even more this year. One thing I’m confident of is he and they will bust their butts trying. Go Dawgs !!
" If Georgia’s passing offense is to take a step forward, Stockton is going to have to do a better job of using his tight ends. Even with Oscar Delp, Georgia’s tight ends had only 43 receptions last season. That’s the fewest in a season since 2020, when Georgia played just 10 games."
Amen to that statement. Our best offensive performance, without a doubt, in 2025 came on our win against Ole Miss. 510 yards of offense and (9) completed passes to the TEs.
I keep asking - Where in the world did that offense go the rest of the season?
I think we could ALL learn a little something from what this Great Dawg said. https://apple.news/AyNLPGbCFSySNAxF0nW2jZw
@navydawg you're very good at running down other Dawg fans just because they don't agree with your POV. Just because they may not be as optimistic as you are about the Dawgs' short- and long-term future doesn't mean they are any less fans, or are hoping for the team's sudden demise. You look at Gunner Stockton and see a QB who excelled this year and will only get better next year. Other UGA fans look at him and wonder if he played as well as he could play this year and they worry what that means for next year. But regardless, both you and the less optimistic fans, I believe, want the same things for the Georgia Bulldogs — victory. Just because you look at the team and only see its strengths and others, like me, look at it and see some weaknesses, doesn't mean we're "down on the team" or want them to fail. I always want UGA to win. EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. But that doesn't mean I can't step back and look at them with a critical eye and speak up about ways I believe they can improve. Nor does it mean that I EXPECT them to win every game. I understand that teams will lose games. Some teams will lose more than others. To be sure, a 12-2 record with an SEC championship is a great season. That said, I will believe to my dying day that we SHOULD have beaten Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl. I'm not saying we would have won the Natty, only that we SHOULD have beaten Ole Miss. Our TEAM was better. That's why we led them by nine points at the half, and by five at the end of the third. I think all Georgia fans want the same thing for our team. Like everything else in life these days, we just see the path to get there differently. Go Dawgs!
Oops, looks like we aren't the only ones to notice…

Well this makes Twice you’ve personally cited ME. When I’ve not cited YOU in any of my comments. If it makes you feel better and relieves your frustrations go ahead.
But just so you Do know. I don’t see “ only their strengths” and none of their weaknesses. I’m not quite as Naive or Ignorant about the game as you imply with your “ rose colored glasses” comment on the other thread.
And if you Can’t or Won’t see that Some of the comments in particular about Gunner. Go well beyond the pale of just “ honest and reasonable “ critique. Well there’s nothing I can do about that.
With two types of cancer among a host of other medical issues I have far more to “worry” about than how the Coaches of Dawgs football do their job.
I feel I’m as much a fan as anyone else here. Love to see the Dawgs win, Hate to see them lose. But I place Faith in the very nicely paid coaches to Fix the problems they can or diminish the problems they can’t.
As far as Gunner I Saw a young man with the heart of a Lion give his all to help his TEAM Win. I doubt he spends much time worrying what people outside of the program think of him. Very Easy to be a keyboard warrior talking about all of what you’d do or not do. We don’t have a huge DE or DT bearing down on us intent on tearing our heads off !! Easy for us to be so courageous from our recliners.
So I’m gonna Hope for a better 2026 and cheer the Dawgs on. Which Realistically is all I can do. What I Won’t do is sit at a keyboard and pick apart a fine young man and the tremendous efforts he made to help his team Win. So if you feel a sense of relief or better self esteem calling me out. Go ahead. You can call me anything you wish just don’t call me late for chow !! Good Evening !! Go Dawgs !!
The down votes don’t concern or intimidate me they don’t help to support me or my family so I don’t sweat them. Just wanted to say The Great Dawg I referred to is none other than Matthew Stafford and what he told his teammate that muffed the kick return. Which resulted in Seattle scoring a TD the very next play. I found it to be wonderful and wise from one of the greatest QBs in the NFL and a life long DGD. If others don’t see it the same that’s OK.
Well, one thing that I think we ALL can agree on, is to hope for a better 2026.. And for me, that hope extends far beyond the fortunes of UGA football, or UGA itself. Go Dawgs!
On that I surely agree. Peace be with you Dallas. I harbor no ill will against you nor malice. I just want to live the best life of what ever I have left and hopefully leave a legacy of good will. Hope you have a great and safe rest of the week. God Bless !!
