ATHENS — While Georgia brings back its top running backs in Nate Frazier and Chauncey Bowens, the Bulldogs do have to replace a very important piece in Cash Jones.

Give Dwight some of those swing plays, quick throws that we gave to Branch and passes we gave to Cash.

I second Dwight for the role

Jones wasn't that **** valuable. I'm sure they'll replace his contributions just fine.

Go look at the age of Indiana's starters on O line and D Line. We play 18 year olds, and they play 22 year olds.

Amen !! I third that vote for Dwight !! Also love to see Dawgs go back to some of their past when they used sweeps with good success !! Dwight gets a little clear green in front of him he’s gone !!

If replacing Cash Jones' production ranks as a "real concern" for 2026, the Dawgs are in really good shape. Personally see several areas that I see much more of a concern.

If there is no OL to open holes up for the RBs then the dawgs are in trouble. Offense was not biggest problem last season. It was the defense. No pass rush and no one could cover the opponent’s receivers. Even lowly Florida had guys running wide open.

KS doesn’t want to spend money to get experience OL. I guess he is afraid it will come from his incentive bonuses.

I had to scratch my head at some of the times Bobo had Cash getting the ball out of the backfield when there were better options. Not having Branch to throw a lateral, or a sideline screen to is going to be a bigger deal. Gunner is going to have to put in the time with his new receivers, and realize that he has to throw the ball vertically to them in order to get this team across the finish line. UGA may now have the fastest running back in the nation in Jae Lamar, and I hope he is one of the players thatr Kirby is talking about when he says that the freshmen have to be ready. Playmakers that are above average, or WAY above average are usually what it takes to win a Natty in this 12 team playoff era.

Just saw where Gunner turned down much more money from other teams to stay at UGA. Kid has character and you can’t teach that. He’s a leader and I can’t think of another QB that I would want to lead our guys.

“”Gunner is going to have to put in the time with his new receivers, and realize that he has to throw the ball vertically”

Pretty sure he knows it - it was the OL that struggled to give him 3 or more seconds….too busy running 4 his life or getting the crap knocked out of him - or at least that is what I saw from my seat.

    Changes have been made.

Railroadtrack1…That was my first thought as I read the article. I agree. All of us here can recall a minimum of two times we ran Cash Jones and sat there scratching our head and shouting “Why!” Go Dawgs!

Or really bad shape, depending on how you look at it. If we can't find a guy to get 1.15 YPC and be a good blocker, then yikes! Don't get me wrong, I do think Jones added something very real to the team, but for the most part, the way he was used offensively was largely predictable and… lackluster as far as production goes. I am in the camp, btw, that believes we'll do just fine making up for that loss.

Love Cash. A DGD! However, I am reasonably sure we have enough talent to replace him. I’m especially puzzled by how articles about our RBs fails to mention Bo Walker. He looked great at times.
