To BEAT: Oklahoma/Mateer, Vandy/Curtis, Ole Miss/Chambliss, South Carolina/Sellers, and GA Tech/Mendoza…..“One of the things we got to improve is pass rush…..improve, hell…The Dawgs will need to instill the fear of "sack death" in the aforementioned QB's with Mr Trinidad Numero Uno on the list
It's a good time for a coaching change - with only 20 total sacks and only 3 coming from this position group, I hope coach Knight can have great success with the players as we are hurting for a pass rush.
I’ve also read that Coach Knight is an amazing recruiter and did very well at GT. If he can recruit the best defensive class in school history for the “bugs” he should light it up for UGA…..the chosen ones. Go Dawgs and Coach Knight!!!
sweet hire.
Many of today's QB's are very mobile superior athletes, often getting penetration is not the problem, the problem is getting them on the ground. I 'll leave it to the UGA staff to figure out if personnel or technique has been the problem.
Time will tell the story, but Coach Knight looks to be an excellent hire !! Go Dawgs !!
@GtheGreek Hey Brother I readily confess I haven’t kept up with him. But did Trinidad win his lawsuit to come back to OM for another year ? If he did maybe our Dawgs can help him do soil tests with his mouth Lol !! 🤣 But actually I think he’s a pretty good kid. I was impressed on how he ran all the way across the field to give Gunner a handshake and big hug after the Sugar Bowl. Shows some class. STILL he’s a rival so introduce him to the ground and shake his hand after OM loses !! 😀 OK I just looked it up and you are absolutely right Chambliss is indeed returning to OM. I don’t know if I’m happy or sad about that. Least it gives our Dawgs a chance to reap some vengeance !! Go Dawgs !!
He did! Judge overruled NCAA... I sense the NCAA is becoming more toothless every day, meaning a new CFB regime is going to emerge in the coming years.
As to Trinidad as a player, I really like him a lot. Not just talented, but seems high character. That said, I do want to see the Dawgs mop the field with him (NO dirty play implied!) wherever they meet him 🤣
'Bout time, I'd say. About 2 years overdue...but, better late than never. Lol
Nailed it!.…Kirby. The guy can flat out coach a front 7 model....and make it function at an elite level. He made a noticeable difference at Tech, while he was there. I had forgotten about him. But, he's one of the real "up-and-comers".
I'm really looking forward to next year's defense. I have a feeling, the "Havoc & Aggressiveness" needle is gonna get pegged out in '26.
More "attacking"....less "retreating".....more "Hunting"....fewer "Bambi imitations". More hitting & tackling....not just "hitting".
IMO....This hire gives UGA a little bit of what it lost, after Lanning and Muschamp departed. Hope this is the fix needed.
Go get em Big Red!
A Big AMEN to all you said Brother !! I’m So ready to see the current Dawgs make a return if the Junkyard Dawgs mode !! Make rival teams actually Fear playing the Dawgs Defense. But as you said and I fully agree All legal !! And I Hope for a high powered, high octane Offense as well. Time will tell the story and we’ll see how things go. But I like these young coaches coming in with NFL experience and the zeal and vigor that their youth should bring to the table !! Let them Hungry Dawgs Eat !!
While I am looking forward to more pressure from our LBs, there are a lot of very short stints in that resume. And did I read correctly that he was hired by West Virginia in JANUARY? Yes, a better, unexpected job comes around but you were there for one month? And on the other side, we knew he was hired in January and still went after him?
In the realm of “not cool”, that is not cool.
Lolol....Business is business. Don't lose your nerve and develop a conscience, now, Fans.
That ship sailed, years ago. The genie's out of the bottle....the horse left the barn.…"Ghetto rules" apply.
There be No Rules, in Love & War. Football is a form of war....and, everybody knows.…a great coach, "Loves War". May the Georgia Bulldog, residing in Savannah, forever own the mountain.…...rule the pound...catch the hog. Lol
Go Dawgs!!!
w t f are ghetto rules ?
