Braves are 8-2 in Spring Training! Weiss has got their ear!
What does it mean for the season?
Time will tell…..but I like it!
Go Braves!
Remember y'all…. this wasn't all that long ago!!! GO BRAVES!!!
GO BRAVES!!!
Dawgs and Braves repeat again in 2026? That would be downright AWESOME! State of Champions, once again!
I like it!
Talk about a waste of $. Jurickson Profar is going to be suspended for the entire 162 game schedule. After sitting out 81 games last year, he showed his inability to learn from his mistakes and used PEDs again. What a maroon!! Say a quick prayer for Yaz.
That Profar news is baffling…terrible look for the org…again
It's strictly on him. His absence will not have the same impact as last year. It's only spring training, but the focus by/of the players looks totally different so far.
what do you see as the major differences so far?
With several key guys gone to the WBC, we haven't seen the "team" that much, but the guys that are there are all scrapping.
Yep! 11-2 so far in Spring Training!
Gotta be their best start ever!
It is only the spring….but I love it ! So pumped for this season to start!
Despite Profar, we have some good young players to step in! And now we have his 18 million to play with….maybe to use to shore up the pitching!
Are you ready for some baseball!!
Looks like an opening for Dominic Smith or Ben Gamel. Profar is toast as an MLB player it appears.
Looking like this is the projected opening day roster: lineup (9)
RF Acuna
CF Harris
LF Yastremski
1B Olson
2B Albies
SS Dubon
3B Riley
C Baldwin
DH Gamel or Smith
Bench (4): Heim (C), Mateo (INF), Farmer (UTL), White (OF)
Starters (6): Sale, Strider, Lopez, Holmes, Elder, & Perez
Relievers (7): Iglesias, RSuarez, Lee, Kinley, Bummer, Payamps, & JSuarez.
2 spots still being competed for are the DH/5th OF & 7th reliever spot.
Getting excited to see we will likely have a former UGA player (Kyle Farmer) on the Braves opening day roster!
Don't think there was a lot of competition. Injuries to pitchers removed some of that. With Kim gone for a minute, Dubon was the logical choice. With Profar going to baseball jail, Yaz was facing little competition for the LF job. Might have won it anyway.
Right, Perez wins spot almost by default due to Wentz injury, and Elder got 5th starter spot due to Schwellenbach & Waldrep's injuries.
