Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Still a possibility of Ritchie or Fuentes getting 6th spot over Perez, but probably will continue to develop in minors.
What are expectations around here for Walt? Does it look like Bobby ball or do the players have a pulse?
Some have said he plays a more "active" game: steals, hit and run. Don't know if he will go so far as to bunt or not, but…
article on new first base coach suggests he can turn players into base stealing threats. That might inject some juice into the players.
Hoping a positive move away from sleepy Snitker.
Rockin ' Leo could have kept Snit awake lol
Down the home stretch at 16-5 for the spring! Won yesterday and today!
Gotta good feeling about this year!
Go Braves!
16-5 is impressive. I'll never buy that it doesn't matter who wins in Spring Training. Of course it does. Why would you want to lose any game
Cautiously optimistic
Would be an interesting research project to see spring training records over the years and compare them to actual finishes that season. I can't put too much stock in spring training wins and losses with the # of players who are shuffled in and out of lineups, players who are available or not do the international series going on etc. Of course, it is always a better result when one wins, as long as no one is seriously injured.
I don't expect to win the division. Get into the playoffs and I'll be happy.
Agreed! But they did beat the Phillies yesterday 1-0!!!
Not spring training but curious how the Braves tv network will settle out. Will any streaming network pick it up as a part of their sports package? I believe a couple included the Bally schedule last year. The season pass is being promoted for $99 I believe, haven't decided to take the plunge yet.
I have MLBTV free as part of my T Mobile phone and have gotten accustomed to picking a favorite game to watch primarily on starting pitchers listed. I then catch the Braves game next day or most likely just watch highlights or selected innings.
Why is baseball losing this generation of young males, just make your favorite team hard to watch, humm
@donniem Younger fans may not even know what a bunt is.
Statistically, bunting is way down. With sacrifice bunts, managers use to trade an out for a base. Not so much anymore.
One of my favorite bunts was the drag bunt where a lh hitter would start his running motion towards the pitcher or1b prior to bunting the ball.
One of the best at it was Mickey Mantle. He had sucessful bases-empty bunt singles 80 times in 147 attempts.
that's a great stat!!
