- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

@how2fish Lewis Grizzard was simply a once in a lifetime talent. We were all so very lucky!!!!!
My all-time favorites Lewis Grizzard, Furman Bishop, Mark Bradley, Jeff Schultz and Steve Hummer. They are missed. 😎
A lot of the problem is 24/7 sports entertainment. Same with the news… just round the clock "stuff". There simply isn't enough material to fill 24 hours of broadcast time, so the networks create fake drama and hire obnoxious talking heads to spout nonsense. It's an oversaturation of sports.
I do recall the excitement I had from checking the scores and box scores each morning. We didn't need no stinking talking heads.
We had a legend in LA named Jim Murray. His columns were destination reading in my house growing up. To this day , there's never been a sportswriter out here who matched his excellence.
One small point: it was Furman Bisher, not Bishop. Georgia football has come full circle for me. Kirby has unified the info they are putting out and the whole organization reflects his PR objectives. Talent and ability, what fans are most interested in, aren't the focus. How hard players are working is almost always the subject. It's important to the team, but pretty boring for fans hearing over and over how hard players are working. We want to hear who is playing great and Kirby doesn't allow that to leak out.
Also, NIL has made recruiting less important because so many players change schools now. Back in the 60's and 70's, most fans just followed the games, and that's what I'm returning to on the circle. I do take a look at who they signed and I watch some of their HS highlights, but I realize the guy might be gone in a
yearmonth or two. I think a lot of the apparent fan disinterest is really just adjustment to Kirby's changes and CFB's new realities. All you have is speculation from the talking heads and they are usually wrong. Time for other hobbies.Nicely done.
Go, Dawgs!
Sad but, ultimately, true.
