Trying not to pile on but that effort was not only embarrassing but it just looked like Georgia had assembled players that couldn't do the two things critical in basketball - play defense and not let any open man move and actually put the ball in the goal. The overall shooting percentage - overall something like 35% - is usually what some teams hit for 3s and not for their entire shooting effort. I lost count of how many times a wide open St. Louis player walked down the middle of the lane unguarded for an uncontested layup - and that is just in the first half.

That was just such a poor showing and for the life of me I can't figure out why Georgia can't seem to field a good basketball team and have some level of consistency in the program. There are so many coaches out there and surely someone has a better eye for coaching talent than Georgia seems to have.

    Rant over.

The trap has hurt this team all season long and especially last night. It has often led to wide open three point baskets and easy layups. I’m not sure why Mike White continues to employ it even when it has been detrimental to team success. Mike White has to do better.

You knew when St. Louis hit their 12th point on that wide open, breakaway slam, that this was going to be embarrassing. It was.

I believe "BTA" is the popular description of a drubbing like that. Sigh. Maybe next year.

Well….let's look on the bright side mediocre Mike. You now have a few extra weeks to enjoy spending some of that brand new 4M paycheck. At least we made it as far as the Tarheels, let's see, what other positives can I draw out of this embarassment…Blue Cain ALMOST made a 3 pointer, Cyril didn't foul out, ummm…Jeremiah Wilkinson hasn't entered the transfer portal yet…uhh, Mediocre Mike has 12 early season cupcakes lined up for next season so another 20 win season is very possible…uhh, that's about it for the positives, go dawgs…

    One word...."Bye"

Here's another one.…"Next". As in, next coach up.

Dang it UGA!!!....Quit horsin' around....put your resources together....and find a Coach, that knows how to Finish.

Imo....White is a great basketball teacher....but, lousy head coach. He'll land somewhere soft...np. Let him go...."fly fly away"....or "Run Mikee! Run!". Lol

If White hasn't learned how to Finish...and, it's obvious he hasn't....in the 3 years of Kirby Smart's tutelage. Then's it's time to move on.

It's a Florida situation in Georgia. Who didn't see that coming. Lol...c'mon UGA. Get it together, in Basketball.

Btw...I predicted this exact outcome over a month ago, including...."The Slump"...."The Bounce-Back Streak"....and last but, not least.…"The 1st Round Collapse".

Lol.…i know I'm not the only one. If we see it....you know darned well, the Athletic Department at UGA sees.

The question is....What are they going to do about it & when?".

    Didn’t hear “I’m sorry.”

Not sure what “going too hard in practice” has to do with atrocious shot selection, falling for every pump fake and getting embarrassed by back door cuts all night like you’ve never seen one before.

No blocking out on either end.

Terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE shot selection. Just one off-balance, contested three pointer after another.

This is an objectively poorly-coached team.

Life's certainties: (1) Death, (2) taxes, and (3) the abject FAILURE of UGA men's basketball and the Atlanta Hawks to EVER play for a championship—let alone win one.

I had lots more to moan about here after last night's latest Dawg debacle, but it looks like the previous commenters have pretty well taken care of that.

In any event, cannot emphasize enough that UGA's easily predictable failures of the past few seasons have taken place under the "leadership" of a gator reject. I mean, who the hell has ever heard of hiring a mediocre head coach from your most bitter and hated rival?!

    Can't make this crap up.

I was a freshman at UGA the last time, only time, the Dawgs made the final four, 43 years ago. I don’t understand why UGA basketball is so bad with all the talent in the state, especially the Atlanta area, and the facilities, and all the school has to offer. I don’t want to hear the UGA is a football school excuse. Florida and Alabama have good/great basketball programs. This starts at the top with the standards for the program and the athletes they recruit.

The Dawgs have a helluva Baseball.…& Football Team.

They HAVE the facilities and players to WIN in Basketball...but, don't. Because, they haven't found " that guy", yet....that can put it all together. Especially, when the chips are down.

If it was easy....everybody would do it. Imo...the league is eat up with phenomenal players. Much more athletic than when I was a kid.

It's obviously gonna take more than players and facilities. What did some of the greats Do....that White and others aren't doing? I don't know, cause I'm not there. But, somebody does know.

What is it gonna take, for the Dawgs to COMPETE!!! in every game, for 40 minutes. You'd think they weren't gettin' paid the other night. Lol

We had “that guy” one time in Tubby Smith, but let him go to Kentucky without even a counter offer. It ad a huge mistake for him. Yes, he won a national championship with the previous coach’s players, but he didn’t win much after that. He showed he could win at Georgia and would have had a longer career here than at Kentucky.
