NEVER underestimate Kirby Smart !! Go Dawgs !!
Texas has a more challenging regular season schedule compared to the Dawgs. Talty picking their losses to Ohio State and at LSU. I would probably concur, although that Ohio State game is in Austin. So I might be a toss up on that one. Early season game, so how good will Manning look? Sayin has proven his worth on the other side.
I don't think the Dawgs lose to Ole Miss again, but it will depend on how both QBs are playing by that point.
I agree MontanaDawg and I believe Texas will actually beat Ohio State this year. Last season the game was at Ohio State and statistically the Longhorns kicked the Buckeyes, but Manning was a shaky at critical moments in the game. I think a more confident Manning and playing in Austin will give Texas an edge. BUT, to heck with those pretenders? Go Dawgs #1
also Ohio is losing a bunch off of that defense. And how will Julian Sayin handle a true hostile road environment.
@BubbaBill…will be fun to watch two elite QBs competing. Manning was playing much better towards the end of the season, and Sayin will be a top Heisman contender in '26. Both are probably the most accurate passers in college.
Texas has significant losses on defense as well. They do add Boom as coordinator, but lots of new faces. I believe it will be the mighty Dawgs with the scary defense in 2026, after falling off a bit the last two seasons. They looked scary at times late in the season especially against the shorthorns. Dawgs need the disrepect and the hunger to be great!
Maybe but I’d still rather have Gunner over either of them.
