Yeah, these nagging injuries aren't serious… until they are, by handicapping a player's ceiling. We need our best players to be at their best if we expect to make a serious run. Go Dawgs!
"Khummel"—Couldn't agree more. The run through the regular season always brings some lost time for the players. It's the loss of our "A" players at playoff time that really kills us(true for all). Let's hope the injury bug leaves us alone this year! GO DAWGS
Kirby said he is back practicing and looking good. Gunner will need the reps, both now , in the summer throwing periods. and fall camp to take the next step. If the run game can continue to improve it will help Gunner. Run the ball well enough to warrant bringing in the safeties for run support and it plays into Gunner's wheelhouse. Get back to the suffocating defense, and give Gunner the field position that Stetson enjoyed and things will be looking up.
Gunner “banking for reps” the good things he did. And saying “God what was I thinking ?” on the bad plays. I think it’s important to remember that last year was his first year as the True Starter.
He See’s what his problems are and will be working hard to correct them. Plus he’ll have a well of the “good” plays to draw from coupled with plays that either haven’t been used or used very little.
NOW if he can get to and Stay 100% healthy. I could be very wrong sure wouldn’t be my first time and certainly won’t be my last. But I’m Believing that Gunner will be markedly better on His part.
But for Real and Consistent success he’s gonna Need the O Line to give him 2-3 more ticks on the clock of a clean pocket. He’s gonna Need the WRs/TEs to get adequate separation from defenders and run smooth routes. A Huge bonus would be a powerful and elite running game. The run game if elite would help get guys open among many things Yall already know. I have a feeling that by game one we will have a very smooth and polished Offense IF the ole injury bug will stay away !! Go Dawgs !!
Gunner will be fine and I look for him to have a similar jump as Stetson had between year 1&2. I am intrigued by the backup battle with Ryan M pushing Puglisi. Anyone know if that rumor is true?
i believe Monty can run the offense a bit better than Puglisi
