There were a few other plays besides that one. Jones is getting better every game. I think he'll be a very good corner.
Jones didn’t lose the Ole Miss game. Very conservative play calling on offense in the 2nd and 3rd quarter after we took the lead killed us. It’s a far too common occurrence. Not to mention frustratingly aggravating and predictable. Hopefully we will learn to keep the pedal to the metal on offense the entire game. My thought: possible but not probable based on past experience. Hoping I’m wrong on that prediction.
He already is
For the life of me I can't understand why Bobo goes away from what was working. Maybe the other team adjusts and I'm too dumb to see it. That's a distinct possibility too. But I've seen Georgia have success in the past with certain plays and all of the sudden, they stop and go into a shell. That's the part that I don't get. Below my pay grade I guess. Kirby seems like a coach who wants to dominate, but when that happens, the team tightens up.
Jones isn’t the blame for that defense collapse. When you score that many points and still lose oh well. Seems the defense didnt make any adjustments in the 2nd half. Hopefully this year will be different with the defense and offense.
