I don’t listen to the game broadcast much anymore, but I liked Scott Howard. I hope Dantzler lets everyone everyone else talk because he always cut off callers and didn’t let Butler talk as much as he should have on the pre and post game shows.

I know nothing about the replacement, but I was often frustrated when listening to football broadcast when not watching game on TV. Failure to describe plays with sufficient details so one could mentally visualize just what was actually happening. I am fully aware that Scott was popular with many fans, but I thought the play-by-play calling wasn’t great. Of course, following Munson was a difficult task.

I like the move. Scott is much better calling other sports. Some of his football calls were absurd and ridiculous.

NOT happy about Scott Howard being demoted. I am fine with the 2nd dude, he was horrible last year.

Oh, man! I truly hate this! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Scott. His passion for the Dawgs was evident during each broadcast. You couldn't have asked for a better play-by-play man after Munson passed away. No disrespect towards those other guys, but man, removing Scott from that booth was a TERRIBLE decision! We must fight to get him back in there! I will be contacting everyone I can. This is BS!

BRING BACK SCOTT HOWARD TO CALL FOOTBALL GAMES!

    GO DAWGS!

I do not ordinarily side toward the negative on Dawgnation comments. I am sure Scott Howard is a very nice gentleman. More often than not, when having only access to the radio for those very few games each year, I would be quite frustrated to have no awareness of what actually happened on a play or where the ball was being marked when listening to his broadcast. Basketball is a very different sport to broadcast. I have no problems with his calls there.

It’s 2026 & the dawn of AI for Pete’s sake. Can we not dump every call of every Georgia game that Larry Munson called and have AI spit out Larryisms in that gravelly voice of his?!!!

When Larry exclaimed: “Get the picture now…” It truly was like being there. Not only were you seeing the image he was burning into your mind. You were hearing, feeling, smelling, & tasting everything that was happening. Definitely the GOAT and a hard act to follow.

Scott will be missed on Saturdays in the fall. Even so, it’s still Georgia football & I will always prefer listening to the UGA broadcast vs the alternative of Fowler & Herbstreit!

Howard was the epitome of vanilla. Danzler should have gotten the job 16 years ago. He even had Munson’s endorsement. I think a lot of the negative reaction to this is because people had grown accustomed to Howard and people simply don’t like change

The current Braves tv broadcast is so boring and vanilla, but if they stay in the booth for 15 years it will become familiar and comforting to fans. Doesn’t mean they are exceptionally good at the job

Long overdue - good move - seems to have taken this privilege for granted.

I’m very strange and prefer listening to the radio instead of watching the tv and I’m 21😂. Listening to Scott in the fall has always been part of my life and one of the highlights of my life. I am going to really Scott.

Scott Howard had 18 years and called numerous big games. Multiple SEC Championships, Two National Championships. Josh Brock got one season.
