Only DawgNation would leave this guy on their front page for days on end. Hey maybe you can ask him for a new photo, and leave it there next week. Geez…

Only on the recruiting trail..Manny Diaz at Duke has won more acc titles than cristobal has at miami. Recruiting wins dont always equate to success where it matters most..on the football field.

It seems the AJC should change the name of this site to Dawg Nation football. It is messed up that there is no article about uga baseball winning regular season SEC baseball title for first time since 2008.

    Off topic:

The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs clinched the 2026 SEC regular-season baseball championship with a 13-8 victory over LSU yesterday. This marks Georgia's first SEC regular-season title since 2008, defying preseason predictions that picked them to finish ninth in the conference.

yeah but Cristobal was playing for the national title a few months ago. Bet Manny Diaz would like to be there.

to Mr. or Ms. ""Off Topic" - While those of us are posting about the baseball teams' success certainly understand that our comments are "technically" off topic, we are trying to make a point to the writers and the AJC. Rather than DawgNation writers regurgitating similar articles on football, and often just telling us what ESPN analysts are saying - we can find that for ourselves thank you - why aren't some of the writers giving us "real time" articles on others sports in their seasons - i.e. baseball, softball, track and field, etc. Feel free to continue to click "off topic". I for one will continue to have higher expectations of the DawgNation writers, until they let us know they are "contractually" prevented from covering other UGA Sports.

No surprise. And not the end of the world. The kid has the right to chase what's most important to him. I'd simply ask UGA to withdraw its invitation to the "official visit" later this month, as that'd now serve only as a lavish, all-expenses-paid "night on the town" for this kid and his entourage. Go Dawgs!

Wow! Just read the comments to this article and you can clearly see the generational differences. Ole schoolers like me actually believe personal integrity is important. Younger folk think breaking one’s word is perfectly ok. The idea that playing the system for personal gain is not just ok, it’s what one should do is the clearest reason for the moral disintegration we’re seeing in our society.
One thing will always be true: The love of money is the root of all evil. Believe or don’t believe it. It’s still true.

Big deal. If he’s chasing the short term dollars then we don’t want him anyway. That’s not the kind of kid who will thrive under Kirby’s tutelage anyway. Better this is all figured out now than after he arrives and starts asking for more money and/or is a locker room problem. Besides, he’s all the way from California. When we start to have home grown Georgia boys decommitting then I’ll be concerned

baseball softball is happening NOW!!! Ditch the NIL, lost commits, ….. on the 2027 recruiting class. All a 100% bore.

Seems that Mr. Wright was looking for a payday. That's the only way Miami can get players
