Lol....Curtis hasn't played a down, yet. We don't really know what he can do against SEC DB's.

I wouldn't fret. IMO....We've got at least 2...if not 3 quality quarterbacks....with varied levels of game-experience in Bobo's system, ready to go. They've been under intense tutelage & conditioning....not to mention mixing it up against the best Defense CFB has to offer.....and....they're ready to "Lead" today. Not 2 or 3 years down the road.

I remember similar angst when Manning chose Texas....and, Raiola chose Nebraska. Where are they now?

Lol.…in fact, there were some, who's names I never heard again. Don't ask me to name em....cause, I don't remember who they were...Lolol.

Lol....let's try and keep perspective on what's important....hard work & character. Talent is a given.

Why not keep the 2027 spot empty (pass on filing it)?

That way, you're showing Jayden Wade (if he is 2028's version of the chosen one) how much you love him by semi-clearing the way for early playing time when he arrives in 2028. We've got the bodies in the QB room. Gunner in 26. A bevy of choices for 27. A couple will leave on the way. Wade shows up and there aren't 9 QBs to share reps with. Kid might get a shot to show what he's got as a freshman. Yes - potential injuries could add some "excitement" along the way but that's the world we live in - we have less of a talent cushion. Need top QB play - we don't have the 2021/22 defense anymore.

50/50 Wade gets a higher bid and never shows up. A whole lot of futures riding on this one.

We need good, solid, capable experience, not high school 5-stars when it comes to QBs that can come in and lead the Dawgs. Give me experience any day over a guy like Curtis. Just look at Manning last season which was actually his Year 2 but his first starting season. It was a complete disaster. He will be a much better - and possibly elite - QB this season, but Texas was a waste last season. Manning has taken now until Year 3 to be a solid, great QB. Stockton is working out about the same in his Year 3, although I don't think his upside is as high as Arch's upside. Arch has the arm that Stockton does not. Let's not kid ourselves.

The chances that any of these 5-stars like Curtis, Raiola, or even someone like Wade can produce at an above average level in Year One or even Year 2 is slim. Very slim. GAME experience is the only way to truly improve. The Dawgs cannot waste a season or two any longer developing such a KEY position if the hope is to have that guy start….eventually…assuming he sticks around. If any of these high school QB jocks want to stick around for the Dawgs and get developed then great. But, that doesn't mean they will ever start a game for UGA.

All you have to do is look at the last (3) National Championship teams and the proof is in the pudding. Good, solid, capable, better-than-average EXPERIENCED QBs led their teams through the playoffs and on to victory.

The Dawgs have a chance to compete for a Natty this season with an experienced Stockton, but the question is - will they??? It's the best chance we have had in several years. Let's not waste it.

Stop with the high school QB hype!!! Get your Championship QB from the portal.

These “commits” are finicky at best. I’m worried 0 about any of that. Also, UGA won a natty with a transfer qb, just for those who have forgot.

So let all take a long sip of “ calm the flip down.” And let’s move on, none of this recruiting news holds any water until ink to paper.

seems the favor of the day is TP QBs. Simpson, Trinidad, the one at Indiana and even Beck. But Kirby won’t spend the money on a TP QB. Go Dawgs

I'd like for Somebody...Anybody....to give me one good reason, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, should try to out-bid any School for a quarterback out of High School.

Please! In today's market? HS quarterbacks with talent are a dime a dozen. That's not gonna cut it anymore. The game has become much more advanced. You need a quarterback with experience...[see Manning, Raiola, etal.]

There are no shortcuts to greatness...and, there's some things money can't buy. Kirby is teaching at least 85 human beings that very thing...24/7...365 days a year. Lol

There's something to sink your teeth into. If you're a Dawg Fan. Kirby Smart is at least as big a UGA fan as you are.

He's got a keen eye for what it takes to "win"...and you can bet...if UGA needed a quarterback bad enough....there's no amount of money that could stop it. But, that isn't and hasn't been the case....imo. No need.

We’ve beaten manning every time we have played him.

Tell me again about the importance of paying big ducks to a high school kid?

You want to understand why we can't land an elite QB? Look no further than our offensive coordinator. They, their HS coaches and their agents easily understand much better than Bulldog Nation that Bobo is a BIG liability to our program.

@deputydog - Exactly! This ain’t complicated. The current situation is a disaster. The remedy is simple. Pay 17 & 18 year olds, who have proven absolutely nothing, a REASONABLE “first year salary” the same at every school. After all, they’re receiving a full scholarship covering tuition, room, meals, and books. That’s worth a significant amount of money by itself. Adding a REASONABLE “salary’” to the full scholarship is fair. It’s eliminates the ridiculous amounts being paid youngsters who has accomplished nothing so far. Allow for REASONABLE increases based on performance each year.

It’s beyond reason to believe the powers that be aren’t able to fix the current fiasco. A REASONABLE payment system would also teach basic life lessons like “you get what you deserve based on merit.” Of course, now that you’ve given the candy to the baby, taking it away won’t be pleasant. The baby will cry, scream, and pitch a fit. But the candy ain’t good for the baby. Gotta take it away.

Yawn - Meanwhile on the baseball front, No. 4 in the nation Georgia (42-11, 22-6 SEC) set a school record with its 22nd SEC win of the season yesterday with win over Aubarn.
