All of a sudden we’re rolling. No panic in this staff. Just stay the course, push away the noise and the b******t and be real with these young men. The ones who aren’t against hard work and proving themselves worthy of wearing the “G” and aren’t out for the money grab know where their best opportunities lie! Go Dawgs!
Spot-frikkin'-on... this staff has their stuff together, that's for sure. I know everybody (the MSM, especially) is fixated on 5-stars, but I think this staff also has an FBS-leading capability: identifying not just talent, but underdeveloped talent that can be coached-up to even higher levels of performance (e.g., Stetson, Bowers, McConkey, J. Davis, etc.).
IMHO, only Cignetti and co. come even close to being able to take mid-level (or lower) recruits and coach/develop them into NFL-caliber players. This is why the Dawgs always seem to be in the SEC/National-title hunt, regardless of the media's scoring of a particular class of recruits... hopefully, Gouda becomes yet another of those next-level performers!
Very physical player, will need to refine his tackling skills in that elite college players don't go down just because you hit them hard, you have to wrap up. That won't be a problem, with his attitude he'll adjust.
I love this guy! It's like watching Roquan out there again. He seems to love the Dawgs and seems to be a rock solid commit. Looking forward to seeing you play in Athens, young man.
