They get a lot of questions about the ballpark, Johnson said, adding that yes, right field at Foley is short (more on that later). But hitting for power is more about Georgiaâs style of play rather than a ballpark advantage, he thought.

It would be interesting to see how many of Georgia's home runs this year were hit out of Foley Field vs. other parks and then a breakdown of right field center and left field. I really don't see any difference in anything but right field. Honestly, and this is just anecdotal but I think from watching a lot games that the right field homers usually are way back at least 20-30 feet farther then the top of the fence. Who knows, I think the temperature and wind play a more important part then the field size. At the end of the day they either can hit off this Volantis kid or not. He's a good one but he has been touched by some common opponents who do not hit as well as we do. I'm more concerned that our pitching staff performs and gives us a chance to win.
Look for Lane “Looks Maxxing” Kiffen in the tarps off section wearing some bengal striped Pilate pants showing off that sweaty Pilates body. Spray tanned out of his freaking mind.
Very good comments. I’m with you in the thinking on this game. I Love Coach Johnson and our Dawgs attitude about the whole thing. I think we’ll do fine.
It’s very odd that 4 of the 5 SEC teams play each other and the only other SEC team is unranked and playing in a “lesser” bracket. I am confident that the Dawgs will take care of business but the NCAA is going to flat make our guys prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that they are easily the best team in the country.
I'm loving the coverage of our baseball guys. I know that football drives everything (including revenue!). But, would love to see regular coverage of UGA's other kids. Kirby regularly mentions our other sports. Think it'd be great here, too. Men's Track & Field finished 2nd at NCAAs last night and had a few individual winners. Girls Track & Field are favored to win it today. Lots of great things going on all around athletics in Athens!
I agree.
UGA should start an All Georgia Sports Network....that discusses, not just UGA....but, "Georgia Sports & Athletes" as a whole. Little Leagues, Schools, Professional...etc.. I think it would put them way above everybody else in recruiting....and, make em some dollars. Lol...not to mention...put the spotlight on instate athletes and high school sports programs. Just an opinion.
it certainly worked out for Texas and The Longhorn Network…wait…
You think Texas Small....I go Georgia Big. Lol....Texas...Don't believe the hype.
Go Big Red!!! Thump the Horns one more time. I think they're beginning to get used to it. They're your ****, now. Lmao
oh yeah and the BYU channel! That one worked great also
