Everything Wes Johnson said following Georgia baseball loss to Oklahoma
Georgia fell just short Monday night, losing 4-3 to Oklahoma. The Bulldogs will now move to the loserâs bracket, where they will play Texas in an elimination game at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Dawgs definitely didn’t look loose tonight.
Totally agree. They looked tight from the start and pretty much all game. Verses TX they were loose and having a fun time even against the SEC top pitcher. But tonight they seemed tense. It’s not impossible by any stretch. But they’ve got a tough long row to hoe to get back in it. We can hope and these Dawgs are fighters. We’ll see…….
Baseball is a funny game—sometimes you hit the ball on the nose and, by chance, it goes "where they aint". This game was 180 from that for us. Most well hit balls went straight to an Oklahoma defender or it was a popup—never seen so many popups. And what a biased broadcast—ALL of the attention, press box commentary, camera time and anything else "Oklahoma" was totally saved for the Sooners. A casual observer would've had a tough time figuring out who Oklahoma was playing.
We have to get more production from our leadoff through #3 batter. Simple as that
No doubt that the DAWGS have dug themselves into a hole, but these guys never quit, so I'm not pulling the plug on them just yet. Even if they are eliminated by the austin cows, they've had a season to be very proud of..GoDAWGS!
Whatever happens tonight this was a great year! Our offense did not show up with RISP. That really was the difference. To play as poorly as we did and still barely lose was remarkable.
Win tonight and I feel confident we can beat OU twice. First, Texas though.
