Gunner Stockton probably likes that there’s little chatter around him entering the upcoming season.

Gunner is good but not elite. He needs the WR room to step up and open up down the field instead of a two yard route.

"As for Chambliss, had 10 total touchdowns and no interceptions. He won two College Football Playoff games before coming up just short against Ole Miss."

    I'm confused………….

Gunner is a DGD. Good enough for me!

    @GoodOlDawg

I think he meant to say "Ole Miami".

My heart wants to agree with Connor Riley. My head, however, does not see a great season this year. Our receiving corps is substandard, to put it nicely. Our offensive line is suspect. Stockton is also suspect if we are honest with ourselves. There are multiple reasons all the analysts have relegated him to also-ran status. Our defense seems to be fine, and our running game and tight ends are wonderful. The air game, pass protection, and general offensive game scheming is suspect from my foxhole. So I will be drinking with vigor as I watch this year's games with fingers crossed, hoping that a McConkey materializes for us and that we see a more mature and capable passer in Stockton. Smart needs to give meaningful reps to our second QB early and often this year as he may be needed mid-season.

You lost me at 'offensive line is suspect' After that I realized you didn't know what you were talking about and I didn't read the rest.

if Gunner’s number one returning go to guy ends up being Landon, 9 and 3 with a motor city bowl offer vs the high flying dabo’s, book it

@Beachwagon I hope he is as "suspect" as Stetson was!

    GO DAWGS!

" With what you do now in the playoffs, in the games you have to win, I think the cream comes to the top,” Smart said. “The best team comes out and wins. It’s who’s playing the best at the end. It might not be who’s playing the best in the beginning, but that’s who wins the championship.”

Bingo. Yes, whichever QB and team is playing their best ball at the end of the season wins the Natty.

Gunner has a lot of similarities to Stetson - average QB that elevates his game under pressure, knows how to win, is tough, resilient, a leader…but can he be good enough to win the Dawgs a NC???

Stetson had a lot more elite playmakers on offense and defense than this year's team does…so only time will tell. Players have got to step up their game and Gunner will have to elevate his own for us to have a real chance.

Last year's line was suspect and since last year UGA lost 2 OL to the NFL. This year's line is the biggest question mark on the team. Yes, the OL is suspect. Even more so than GS himself. UGA may have a freshman and 2 2nd yr players starting on the OL. If the OL isn't vastly improved over last year then UGA's '26 ceiling is '25 UGA.

Probably going to need faster receivers if the OL is suspect, a lot faster.

"Beachwagon"—Can't help but disagree. I think our receivers are way above substandard—the young man we got from the portal who played at North Avenue High is gonna be really good. With him and our receivers already here and a superb TE room can make it happen. I know we don't have an Amarius Mims all across the offensive line, but I'm optimistic about this group.

Coach Bobo is revising all his 2 yard pass routes to 1 yard pass routes as we speak.

I commend CR (and MG) for learning from JS and doing some research and including it in their articles.

The main reason GS's yards per attempt were down in his last 4 games is because CKS and CMB don't trust him to throw the ball down the field. Or they didn't trust the OL to give hime the time to throw the ball down the field.

The offensive line is probably the best or 2nd best in the country and we have an entire 2nd team that could start for half the teams out there. In other words we have depth. We have 3 centers as well. The entire OL could all be considered 1st-3rd team AAs. They are that great.

So don't you worry Dad20 everything is great. I think Kirby is looking at this team and saying "wow I hope I don't screw this up." This team is that great.

When you look at the tight end room you have legitimately 5 NFL tight ends. Luckie who is probably a 3rd round pick might be the least talented. Elyss is a freak, Reddell is Bowers like, Barbour was starting before getting injured, and Prothro is another freak.

Good luck stopping those guys and oh btw you still have to cover Talyn Taylor/Rolden flying with 4.3 speed down the side or running a post and Canion who is a big body.

Don't forget about Dwight Phillips with world class speed, Chauncey Bowens and Nate Frazier.

We haven't even discussed the defense yet.
